Miksi Early Access?

Ostriv has been a community-driven project since its first playable alpha back in 2017. Having thousands of players providing tons of useful feedback have proven to be the only good approach in achieving the ambitious goals of this game.

Miten kauan peli tulee arviolta olemaan Early Access -vaiheessa?

I won't lie, it may take years to make this game what it deserves to be. There may be long delays between updates when development meets major design challenges. But that's what it takes to create a masterpiece.

Millä tavoin lopullinen versio tulee eroamaan Early Access -versiosta?

The current roadmap is as follows.

more statistics(production, consumption, trade etc.)
improved trading: trade by sea and by river, negotiations, discounts, reputation

more types of housing(row houses etc.)
more types of bridges, paved roads
orchards, more crop types

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

The current alpha contains over 60 buildings, 7 maps, advanced farming with crop rotation and ploughing, organic dirt roads modeling, dynamically changing seasons, private farming, basic trading by land and river and some other things you would expect (and some you wouldn't) from a city-building game. It is playable and can even be enjoyable if you can deal with occasional crashes to desktop or even sometimes needing to start over.

No plans for price change currently.

Ostriv aims to raise the bar of city-building experience by adding a huge amount of possibilities and removing annoying limitations. It allows for truly organic town layouts without the grid and angle restrictions on a three-dimensional landscape. The goal is to make player's creations to become alive and believable communities where real-life problems would arise, thus making the late game a new challenge rather than a repetitive chore.

This game is still in development! Please buy it only if you want to support the development and provide detailed bug reports and feedback to help make it a masterpiece it deserves to be. The development is slow and steady, which means there can be long delays between updates
