What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Last Wood was first published on in Summer 2017 as a prototype. More than 100k players have played it and told us that they loved it.

We would not be where we are right now without the help of our amazing community<3 We’ve received hundreds of valuable feedback and suggestions from our community. These feedback helped us so much in improving the game.

Early Access on Steam could help us expand our community and bring more fun to our players with more content in Last Wood.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We’ve planned to introduce lots of new content into Last Wood this year and next year.
The exact time for Last Wood's official release will depend on your feedback, we guarantee it would be no later than the end of 2020 approximately.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Our Early Access version is different from the official release in the following areas: less storyline, less time after survival, fewer types of buildings and items, and probably some bugs and glitches here and there.

We don't want to promise things that are too far away from our current version - but we do have a few upcoming significant subsystems which will introduce more dynamics and interesting gameplay to the game.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Our Early Access version will provide a full gameplay experience for players to manage the survivors to survive in a post-apocalyptic water world.

Core subsystems including base demands, crafting, inventories, fighting etc. have been play-tested for months, and are gura teed to be very stable.
Additional subsystems such as mission generator, world generator and nautics are all ready for play, although we are still working on polishing them and filling more contents.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“As more content is added to LastWood, our price could be altered *wink*.

Our prototype is proven to be fun. Many players have told us they could spend up to 10 hours on even just the little things in the game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We have kept in good touch with our community on since we first published the prototype. We will continue our active conversation with our players on our development blog and new discussion board.

You can also give us feedbacks on Facebook, Twitter or any other social network ( Let us know what other social we should be on!)

We will read and reply to every message ( as we did before).
Our players will witness how Last Wood grow and be better:)

Our players can potentially contribute to Last Wood in a cooler way. Last Wood potentially will provides tools for players to customize buildings, new behaviors for survivors on the sea and new storylines the survivors could run into.”
