2.5.0 - Item Fix

TLDR of this patch: Item internal list has been restructured. Use any Deprecated Items that you find in your inventory to claim the new item on the list. Item functions are the same as previously.

Current Known Issues:
- Vents currently give the deprecated version of essences. Use these items to claim the correct item.
- The Quest Journal text in the top left is disappearing after the first save and reload of the game. The cause for this is being investigated, but it is unlikely this issue will be resolved.
- Occasionally, the turn order display which shows characters and enemies during combat will only show the enemies. The cause for this is unknown.
- Some situations in the game may award players with “Deprecated Item” instead of the intended item. This will be ironed out in 3.0.0.
- If you encounter an error or any other oddity, please report it immediately @ www.facebook.com/CrossOfAuria.

2.5.0 [Build #45, Release Date: March 09, 2019]
Fixes:
- Item sell costs have been adjusted across the board. Some items have been marked to be unsellable to prevent quest interruption.
- Chest in Frostbrood Treasure Room no longer despawns after being looted.
- Each fruit now removes the correct status.
- The crafting table now correctly allows for mixing of Fire and Poison flasks.
Changes:
- Recipe: Moderate HP Potion has been moved to Key Items and can now be used to create 1, 2, 5, or 10 at a time.
- Text changes to numerous items.
- All Schematics and Recipes are now Key Items.
- The internal item structure has been rearranged for easier use moving forward. Many items have been moved further down the list which results in players being able to have two of the same items listed in different areas of the inventory. Once the one higher on the list has been used, it will no longer be available from any source.
- Some items have been replaced with “Deprecated Item”, which will give a copy of the new item when used. Be sure to check your inventory and use all Deprecated Items! This was done to keep the internal list of items manageable.

Edit:
2.5.1 [Build #46, Release Date: March 09, 2019]
Changes:
- Deprecated items automatically change all items in the stack to the updated item instead of one at a time.
Fixes:
- Vents no longer give the deprecated version of essences.
- Deprecated items have been removed from shops.

This Week In Revan (2.4.5)

Since the discovery of the Mac bug, the time it takes to release patches has increased. This basically means that when an update does come out, it is likely to contain more than you may be used to. Hotfixes may not be deployed as quickly.

Moving on to what's good for this week - a new event (Alex) and a new quest (Miles). Go get your new skills!

2.4.5 [Build #44, Release Date: March 03, 2019]
New:
- A new event is available in Hell’s Gate after the third interaction with the Veil.
- A new quest is available from the world map once Miles uses Stealth 10 times.
- Vents have appeared in Den An’ura!
- Vents have appeared in Hell’s Gate!
- The crafting table at Rayman’s House is now equipped to fuse different types of essences!
Fixes:
- Normal attacks now apply weapon states correctly (burn, poison, bleed, etc).
- Find a Poison Weapon now moves to the completed section of the Quest Log correctly when completing it after doing the Frost Weapon quest first. A debug fix is available in The Black Forest (in the form of a crumbling rock) which will move the quest properly so long as the Stable Toxic Core has been acquired.
Changes:
- Reverted the change where the turn order display was disabled based on new feedback, showing it working correctly. Multiple checkpoints have been added for players who started the game with it disabled.
- Widened the path to the left side of Market Town.
- Changed text on Blazerblade to reflect how often Act Twice procs (20%).
Notes:
- Exiting Rayman’s House after the third interaction with the Veil places the player in a version of Frost Forest where there are no random encounters. The version of FF will be populated on a later date. To enter the version of FF with random encounters, simply exit to the world map then re-enter.
- The debug rocks are not available to players in the larger variant of Black Forest. At some point in the future, these debugs will be compiled into a story checkpoint.

About This Game

Cross of Auria is set in a world where the memories of all the inhabitants were wiped out by a plague known as the Scourge. This plague throws our hero's consciousness into the realm between worlds - the Veil, forever establishing her ties to that land and ability to cross into it. Now, a girl who would have led a normal life is given the gift of electrogenesis- the reason for which she must uncover.

About Cross of Auria: Episode 1

  • Cross of Auria: Episode 1 is the first installment of a new RPG universe. The story is told from the hero's perspective and focuses on the early days of the most recent Scourge outbreak. While some cities had prepared strategically placed information to help residents find their purpose after the memory-erasing fog, most of the world wakes up without such help - leading to panic and chaos. Man, monster, and Gods alike fell victim to the loss of all that made them who they were.
  • Each chapter of the story may be released as a living project. While the project is live and in development, all updates and additions are free of charge.
  • Cross of Auria: Episode 1 is no longer a live project and no longer receives content updates, bug fixes, or other patches following any schedule.

About the Gameplay

  • Cross of Auria: Episode 1 features classic style turn-based combat in a fantasy world.
  • A number of puzzles can be found throughout the game including during combat. It is important to try different approaches to each situation.
  • As the player, you control the main protagonist Ruby in her efforts to reclaim her memories from the Scourge and the evil force which created it.

Features

  • A new story crafted with the intent to create the next long lasting comic book style universe.
  • A story that starts in the first few days of the world's memory.
  • Optional side-quests and bosses.
  • A bounty/hunt system inspired by various RPG series'.
  • An arena where the party can revisit previous areas at higher levels for better rewards, inspired by MMO group dungeons.
  • Achievement Support for Windows.

Additional Info

  • The completion time for a new player to finish all content within the game, both main story and optional, is roughly 7-9 hours, provided they don't skip dialogue and complete all available quests.
  • While the game was in its living state, players received patches and content updates at no additional cost. New players just picking up the game will have access to all content deployed during the entire lifespan of the game.
