Why Early Access?

“Early Access is a great opportunity for the players and the developers! The developers get feedback and can change the game to fit the needs of the players and the players have the possibility to improve the game to improve their own experience.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Not all planned features are implemented yet and there might be other features, requested by the community, which will be implemented, before the end of early access. The game won't be stay in early access for years, we are talking about 4-6 months until the end of early access.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Of course, the full version will have less bugs and run more stable. One major thing I want to improve is the performance, to allow even larger battles. There will be more content and the gameplay will be improved. How the game will exactly look like in the future depends pretty much on the community.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“At the moment, there are many different gamemodes, content and features in game, but not everything that was planned is in game. The game itself runs quite good, but it needs some polishment and balancing, as well as bug fixes for old and upcoming features. But in general the game is well playable at the moment.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“This depends pretty much on the state of the game after early acces. For instance, if were will be a multiplayer after the early access, the price will raise a bit to pay servers, etc.
But actually there are no price changes planned.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“As mentioned in previous questions, community feedback is really important and the community will have a strong influence on the direction of development.”

Next update
Actually there were some more features, like campaigns, planned for Alpha 29.
UnfortunatelyI don't have much time for the development at the moment, so that I decided to publish the existing new features and fixes now.
There will probably be some small patches in March to add the missing features and improve some areas of the game.
Basically the plan is to release the missing parts of Alpha 29 and 30 as soon as they are ready, so that you don't have to wait a month for the next major update.

Discord Server + Alpha 0.28.2

Discord
We now have a Discord server for Ancient Warfare 3. The plan is to use it for suggestions, bug-reports, discussions about the game and to make it easier to interact with the community. Patch notes of smaller updates and announcements will also be posted on Discord .
The community hub can still be used, but the plan is to switch to Discord as the main platform for the development.

Alpha 0.28.2
In the last couple of weeks, the stability of the game has become a problem for some users! The latest patch fixes some crashes and adds more debug information to make it easier to find reasons for game crashes.

About This Game

Ancient Warfare 3 is a complete redevelopment of the second part to improve the experience from the core of the game. Dive into a huge sandbox full of action and customization! Choose from different gamemodes like Deathmatch, Reach point, conquest, king of the hill, zombie mode, arsenal and more. Create you own scenarios in the custom battle editor. Choose your rules, change the environment, place units, objects or traps, choose your equipment or just relax and spectate a battle.

Explore the content from different eras like stone age, medieval ages, WWI, WWII and compare them to modern and future weapons or just recreate some historic battles.
Fight your enemies on the ground, in the air or on the ocean, it's your choice!

Your player can use a very advanced and mixed equipment which will allow dynamic combat. Use a sword to cut your enemies into pieces, a baton to punch them down, guns or bows to shoot at them, or an rpg to blow them up. Protect yourself with a shield and wear armor to get some protection for different kind of weapons. To support you and your mates, you can carry different grenades, healthpacks or ammo supplies.

Much content is already in game and there are still much more gamemodes, units, weapons and equipment planned. Until then, you can test the 670+ units in game with 277+ equipment items and place 175+ different objects.
