What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We chose to go with early access because we need players in the game who will play it and help direct what features will be further developed based on how the game is played.
We have more weapons, features, game modes and levels we would also like to add. Feedback from the community will also help direct what we add.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We estimate Early access to last 6-8 months, depending on level of feedback from the community.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Full version will have more weapons, more characters, more weapons, and more additional features.
The development will be dictated by the community by how the users play and what they ask for which is why we going the EA route. Our small team does not have a testing department so we must rely on users to tell us what they want and need. The goal is to create a stable, and balanced VR esport ready game that can be played competitively by the community.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current state of EA is mostly Macro feature complete. All items listed in the general description are in the game. We will be expanding upon micro features to include additional interactivity, more levels, more weapons, and one other game mode.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“EA pricing will be 20% cheaper than full release pricing”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We are depending on the community to provide feedback to find out what players want and need to enhance the gameplay. Most communication with the community will be done on our Discord channel and our announcement section. We will also be in communication through the community HUB when given feedback there. Both channels are monitored daily.”

Small patch 5

Just a small patch I wanted to get out, while I continue working on the missions. Most of the work is under the hood with adjustments and optimizations, but the main things noticeable.

-Tighter gun control, attemting to reduce the floatyness noticed in UE4 games
-Laser sight on p90 now still works when 2 handed.
-Climbing is now 99.9% consitent and way easier to use.

Update 4 is now out!

Thanks to feedback we did a ton of improvements and a few rounds of polish this week. I will be pushing these to the demo shortly, and will probably be the last update to the demo.

Change list:
-Slayer bots won't steal loot anymore
-Reduced volume on gun shots and impacts so you can still talk to other players
-Heal sound is fixed
-Can't accidentally revive a dead player anymore
-Forced bot spawn if user forgets to pick a team
-Bigger grab radius on some items so it snaps to grip easier
-More natural default hand position (more similar to Onward/Pavlov ect)
-Fixed up climbing more
-Recoil on 2 handed weapons now reduced to 1/3 vs 1/2 it was before when double gripped
-Throw distance on items increased. Matches more closely to IRL throw distance and feels more natural
-Sprint when pressed maintaines walk speed still and just increases to max when physical sprint action is taken
-Fixed up bot behavior more to stop them sticking sometimes
-Reduced time moving between levels. Appears to still work, and will be more comfortable to players.

Also working on some really cool new stuff I can't wait to show! Creating a system that will generate missions to be played single player or coop, and also working on bosses. The new system should generate procedural levels and procedural missions so each play through will be a bit different. Still needs a lot of work, but soon the base systems will be complete. This will allow new content to be more rapidly generated in the future.
