Hi, hey, hello! This month at Rose City Games has been an eventful one so far (lots of play-testing! Lots of game polish! Lots of coffee!) and it’s about to even more exciting: WE HAVE A RELEASE DATE FOR THE WORLD NEXT DOOR!

If you need catching up, The World Next Door is our debut title (!!) that we’re releasing in a publishing partnership with VIZ Media. In this narrative-focused, anime-inspired game, you play as Jun, an adventurous teenager trapped in the magical world of Emrys. Fortunately, Jun has a group of friends ready, willing, and able to help her investigate the secrets of Emrys, and find a way back home!

Inspired by the emotional storytelling and thrilling action of anime and indie gaming, The World Next Door follows Jun, a rebellious teen who finds herself far from home in the magical and mysterious world of Emrys. As she encounters a colorful cast of otherworldly creatures, Jun must learn to rely on her new friends to get back to Earth before time runs out.
