What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The Pixel Noir team is all about transparency and including our fans in development. We started the process of collaborating with fans through our successful 2015 Kickstarter campaign. Steam Early Access gives us a greater opportunity to continue to work with fans to gather additional feedback before we polish up and finalize the game.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Awhile... We will announce a full release time when we're ready.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version contains the first half or the game (chapters 1-4). In the full game we plan to include more polish, more areas to explore, more quests, and most importantly, the second half of the story!”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version includes the main story, sidequests, and many features for about half of the full game experience. While we have stopped supporting Early Access or patching the build, we have been working hard on finishing the full game.

For more information on progress, please visit our online roadmap or come talk to us directly on our Discord server.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, we plan to raise the price after ending Early Access into releasing the full game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“There is a way of posting feedback from the current Early Access build linking to a submission form. But we also have a discord server and the Pixel Noir store forum here on Steam.
We would love to get an idea of what people think of the game and any last-minute ideas that we may be able to work into our final development plans to help polish up Pixel Noir. We want to make the best game we can possibly within our means!”
