What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“As a small team, with a single main developer, we want to put all our efforts into crafting something special. The time, feedback and support that early access provides is invaluable to ensuring that we can build something you'll love as much as we do.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“It is hard to estimate how long the game will remain in early access, probably on the order of 12-24 months. Ultimately, we aim to ensure that the final, released version of the game is a cohesive and polished experience.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

  • Complete Story Arc: Unravel the history and secrets of Lamplight Station and it's residents.
  • Deep Tech Trees: Craft your way up multiple tech trees to build and create complex systems. Use nuclear fusion to keep yourself warm, create assembly lines to build lithium-air batteries, or use gene splicing to make super foods.
  • Explore miles of space station: Each new area of the station will come with it's own challenges: heat, radiation, low gravity and hard vacuum are just a few of the obstacles you'll need to overcome to uncover the secrets of Lamplight Station.
  • Design and build complex machines and factories: Need more solar panels? Create your own assembly lines to turn raw materials into complex parts and much more.
  • Leave Your Mark on the World: Turn the station into a dystopian hellscape - or a green, lush oasis. The choice is up to you.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

  • Basic survival mechanics are in game (temperature, health, hunger and clothing).
  • Basic enemy AI, including some stealth mechanics.
  • Fully Destructible environment.
  • Basic building mechanics - gather and place blocks to create safehouses, buildings, stairs and other structures.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We'd like to keep the price fair, and in relation to the amount of content, polish and enjoyment that the game can offer. In all likelihood, the price will go up a little upon release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Clear and open communication is important, and your feedback will be vital to creating a game we're proud of. We plan to create as many avenues for feedback and dialogue with our early adopters as possible so we can hear your thoughts and suggestions, and respond to questions. We plan on sharing regular updates on our progress through the steam platform.”

About This Game

Lost on massive space station, you’ll need to act fast to overcome radiation, cold, heat and the station's less-friendly inhabitants in order to survive.

Lost on massive space station you must use your wits as you build, craft and fight for survival.
You'll need to overcome radiation, cold, heat and the station's less-friendly inhabitants in order to survive.

Please note, while many of these features exist in the game at this time, they are still under active development. Some features may be missing, or incomplete in early access.

Design and build complex assembly lines and networks of machines to provide power, heat, water and advanced technology. You’ll need to rely on your own creativity to build systems that work.

Temperature, wind chill, radiant heat and insulation factor are all taken into account. Carefully construct shelters to minimize exposure to the elements, and use machines and systems to pipe heat and power where you need it most.

The technology you can craft and use in Lamplight is based as much as possible on what is actually theoretically possible. You won’t find any magical midichlorians here. Scour the ruins of a pan-galactic mega corporations' abandoned colony to create the tools, weapons, cybernetics and body modifications you will need to survive.

Reshape Lamplight Station to fit your needs. Transform it into a natural utopia, or a mechanical nightmare, or anything in between. Your imagination is the limit.

Uncover the secrets of Lamplight Station, and harness them for your survival.
As you play, you’ll uncover the deeper stories behind Lamplight Station, its' purpose, and the lives of its' former (and current) inhabitants.

A killer original soundtrack for Lamplight Station is was created by composer Gregory Gates.
