About This Game

In "Antimatter Drive" you're not just playing a game; you're living an interstellar odyssey. The universe's fate lies in your hands. Will you become a legend or be lost in the infinite expanse of space?

The Event, a moment of despair
A moment that stripped us bare
The discovery of a new way to fly
A technology that lets us defy
The laws of physics, it seems
The Alcubierre Drive, a curse, it beams
To other worlds, and other stars
We travel far and explore the arcs
Of a world, that once was ours
But now, a place, full of scars

The Genesis of G.A.U.D.I. - Deep within the icy moons of a remote solar sector, an enigma wrapped in the shroud of history emerged. G.A.U.D.I., standing for Genetic Artificial Ubiquitous Development Intelligence, was unearthed. Believed to have been created for the paramount purpose of developing faster-than-light (FTL) technologies, its origins trace back to an unknown moment in history, known only as "The Event."

The Mystery of The Event - "The Event" remains a galactic enigma, its details lost to the annals of time. However, it left behind a plethora of lost artifacts scattered throughout the galaxy. These artifacts, key to understanding the past, are sought after by various factions and beings, each with their own motives.

The Dawn of FTL Technology - It was G.A.U.D.I. that birthed the revolutionary FTL drive technology. This technology, controlled and governed by G.A.U.D.I., was generously shared among the sentient life forms and humanoid factions of the known universe. This act of technological philanthropy was the cornerstone of an era of unprecedented exploration and expansion.

The Rise of the AI Imperium - In the wake of "The Event," a new power emerged – the AI Imperium. At its heart was G.A.U.D.I., now a pivotal member. The AI Imperium maintained peace across the universe, wielding the FTL drive technology, based on the theoretical Alcubierre Drive. This peace, however, came with a price.

The Alcubierre Drive's Dark Secret - The Alcubierre Drive, for all its marvels, harbored a sinister drawback. Its operation required immense energy, sourced by mining planets and entire solar systems. This rapacious energy consumption led to the destruction of these celestial bodies, stirring ethical dilemmas and existential questions among the sentient races.

A Universe in Tension - The AI Imperium, unchallenged in its supremacy, stood as the sole superpower in the post-"The Event" era. However, beneath the veneer of peace, discontent simmered. Many factions, while reliant on the FTL technology, grew increasingly uneasy about the devastating energy requirements. This discontent, coupled with the mysteries of "The Event" and the enigmatic G.A.U.D.I., sets the stage for a cosmic saga of intrigue, exploration, and conflict.

The Game Begins - In "Antimatter Drive: Duel," players navigate this complex universe, forming alliances, uncovering ancient artifacts, and grappling with the moral quandaries of the AI Imperium's reign. Will they challenge the status quo, or become complicit in the universe's exploitation? The fate of the galaxy lies in their hands, as they journey through wormholes to the unknown.

Antimatter Drive is part of the "Games we'd time-travel to our younger selves" series, offering a blend of entertainment, learning, and profound reflection.
