What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

The campaign mode is finished right now, and you can already play all levels and complete the game from start to finish. The story is complete.
I will spend the time on Early Access working on:
  • Improve the Level Editor. To make it easier to work with.
  • Create extra custom levels for advanced players.
  • Find and fix reported bugs.

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“5 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will have extra custom levels, that provide challenges for the advanced players. They will be more sandbox type of levels and not realted to the current story.
It will also have a better level editor, easier to use. The one I have right now is too hard to use and not friendly at all.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

The campaign mode is finished right now, you can play all intended levels from start to finish and complete the game. You will experience the full story and the only thing missing is a good level editor.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Same price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I need help finding and reporting bugs that could be hidden right now. I also want people to create levels and share them so they can be added to the official release when the time is right. Players will be able to create levels they want included in the final version.”

Early Access Launch announced!

I finally have a release date for the early access launch. In one more week, october 25th, you will be able to get the game from Steam!

Wait, early access? What state willl be the game in?
The game is now fully playable from start to finish. The story is completed and all the levels that I had in mind are included.

So why Early Access?
Because the level editor is far from done. You can build levels right now but it's very complicated and ugly. I want to make it easier for a beginner to use the editor without having to read so many tutorials.

I also want to include maybe a few custom levels (not attached to the main story, on the side) just to offer extra challenges to advanced players.

So overall, even though the main story line is there, there are still some ideas in my mind to make a better experience.

Thanks to everyone that has been waiting. I hope you have fun with the game!

About This Game

Posable Heroes is a game that asks YOU to animate the characters.
Pose your character and press play to see how the new animation turns out. Keep adding poses until you create a full movie that solves the level.

Each level poses a challenge that you have to overcome. For this, you need to create animations that vary in length. From short and simple animations on the first levels to complex and long movies in the last levels.

Since you'll be creating an entire animation, you'll have complete control of which part of the movie you want to modify. Pause the movie at any point, and add a pose. A pose is just like a keyframe, so the character knows that it has to reach that pose in that specific moment.

After a pose has been created, move the character's limbs to any position. You may go for stylish movements, ninja movements, or whatever works for you! When you pose the character a projection will let you know what will happen in the near future. Use that projection to find the right movement.

If you are happy with it, move on! You can add as many a poses as you need. All levels require you to build a full animation to solve them.

Control up to three characters at once collaborating to solve the levels.

Yes! I'm including the level editor I used for the game. So hopefully we can create a community that shares levels and challenges with each other. TEST
