Why Early Access?

“The early access gives us the opportunity to get in touch with the players and get the feedback you need to turn GRAL into the game of combat racing teams that you have always dreamed of.

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We would like to publish a complete version during 2019. With your feedback, we can improve the mechanics, calibrate the difficulty levels and guarantee a finished product.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of GRAL will have all the features listed in the main description. Thanks also to the community we will try to add, where possible, features that will be requested by the players themselves.
Multiplayer Online, Online Co-op and The Lone Wolf Mode (all drivers compete for themselves) are actualy not available but will be released during the Early Access period.
Our scope is to create a ranking system to be included in the final release togheter with a more accurated team management. The challenge in creating and improving your team will increase his ranking in the final score to become the best team in the galaxies !”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“At the time of Early Access GRAL can already count many of its features and game modes. It will already be possible to play in single player the Single Event Challenge, customize a League in the Championship Challenge and the Time Attack Challenge.
You can also select Combat, No Violence and KnockOut mode for each race track.
You can play Single Event and the Championship in co-op with AI or in co-op in split-screen mode for up to 4 players in games with up to 16 cars (12 controlled by AI).
In Team Mode you can share power-ups with teammates to help each others.
In the Time Attack you can challenge yourself or your friends by challenging their ghosts. If you want, your ghost can be saved in your steam workshop section and can be downloaded from your friends to start a challenge.
Currently we have implemented 3 planets, 4 tracks, 3 team, 3 tiers, 8 power-ups and 4 combinable power-ups.
All 4 tracks can be played in mirrored mode so you virtualy have a total of 8 tracks.
Some language translation may not be accurate or complete.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We think that in the first period of the launch the game will have a discounted price and will be changed gradually with the inclusion of new contents such as tracks, cars or features.”

GRAL Early Access Release v.0.0.3 is now live!

We're doing our best to fix as many issues as possible for the next patch.

Here is the full changelist for patch 0.0.3:

Gameplay:

Performance : we have improved overall performance, better and more stable FPS (WIP)
Drifting : The cars now have an improved friction model that is different for each Team.
KnockOut Mode : There is a timer that counts down and every time it reaches zero, the racer in last explodes.
Ghost car : now visible in Time Attack from the beginning or after your first lap if you have no time record on that track(will mimic your best lap, every lap)
Better Heatseeker missile navigation (WIP)
Heatseeker incoming warning : Now there is a warning message and a sound alarm that warns you when a missile is approaching.
Fixed vehicle getting stuck sideways on some race barrier and on some obstacles(now gets pushed off)
Fixed front camera view (WIP)
Fixed wrong position of Player 3 and Player 4 in splitscreen mode.

Levels:

Added new race boundaries to Crystall Valley and Excange port. This prevents the cars from flying out of the level
Excange port: Improved flow, eliminated many obstacles.
Radio Station: Improved overall performance.
Red Canyon: fixed crashed bridge jump. Now its possible to successfully jump on the other side also with a all Platinum Car.
Red Canyon: fixed respawn points. Now you are always respawned ON the track and not UNDER the track :)

Visual:

New Loading screen now with track lenght, race time and race record info. (WIP only track lenght works)
Cinematic camera has improved, with better views and implementation. Now you can use "C" + F1 to F8 to switch between cinematic cameras (WIP).
Wide Screen resolution now supported.
Menu: Fixed the problem of selection in the menu and the graphic elements that were starting to be invisible and other strange things.
HUD: Changed car energy indicator and map indicator.
HUD: Added in-game notification message sistem. Now the Link Sinc Drive System notify you when: a player as been destroied, Powerups shared, Sharing Failed, Best Lap, Final Lap, Eliminated by Knokout and Incoming Missile (WIP work only with Heatseeker based missile)
UI: Fixed UI pixel difficulty

About This Game

In 2118 the first contact with a civilization from another planet took place. Over the course of a few decades, technology for interplanetary travel has made great strides in bringing mankind to the discovery of dozens of new galaxies, new planets and with them new peoples and new alien races.
All these new civilizations, light years away from each other, needed something that united them and made the pecularities and qualities of their planet stand out above all others.
This is how the the largest and most spectacular ever made automotive championship between galaxies is born: GRAL! (Galaxies Racing Automobile League)
A championship in which racing drivers from all galaxies are challenged by circuits from the spectacular tracks that, in addition to having great driving skills, require audacity, smartness, cold blood and even a pinch of madness!
In fact, the racing drivers will have a large arsenal of attack and defense weapons to eliminate their competitors or help their teammates.
Each car is equipped with a sophisticated computerized system called Link Sync Drive System (LSDS), which deals with the management of various aspects of the car, from power-ups management to wheelbase management that gives the possibility of "attaching" to the asphalt so you can cover sections of the circuit even upside down!
Another game peculiarity is the possibility to control and modify the team management. Each player will create his own racing team with his name, logo and can select the team members in the event lobby before start the race.
All powerups are designed to work with teammates during the race. This adds a great teamwork component to the game. The LSDS allows mixing power-ups together to create on immediately new devastiting ones to dominate over your enemy!
