Starlight is being rebooted with many new features, creatures, and worlds. It will be released as a 4-level game late in 2025, with more worlds being added over time for 9 worlds. The price is inclusive and early-release customers receive the full game without additional cost.

The reboot of Starlight is available now as a playtest and will include the following features when launched:
* Multiple lifeforms on exotic worlds
* Map and compass
* The ability to fast travel to level markers
* Survival based on finding the energy necessary to survive
* AR interface and log holographic 'Astronav' for solving planetary alignment puzzles
* Video segments on each level

The game available in early access is named Exo which allows players to explore four planets, including one with bioluminescent creatures, a desert world that suffered from manmade climate change, a jungle world, and a frozen exoplanet.

The reboot will revisit these levels with new skies, animal AI, an AR interface, a futuristic Astronav puzzle mechanic, a compass, an overhead map, and exciting new artwork.

Minerals and energy will need to be gathered to craft the tools necessary to complete levels.
