What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We're a very small team and we need to be open with our development, to be always sure that we're on the right path.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We're currently in the last phase of the Early Access (which we call "Late Access"). We believe the game will have reached our original vision, in the first half of 2019 - which is when we'll do a full release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is going to include all of our planned modes: Arcade, Story and Challenges. Currently, the Arcade one is available.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“We consider the "Late Access" a good taste of the final version. The game has been in development for more than a year, and we're quickly reaching the final state.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We want to give our players the most value possible, according to the price. The final product's price will be decided with this in mind.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We are open to all kinds of suggestions, and feedback on what works and what doesn't.

We are totally encouraging you to join our Discord (https://discordapp.com/invite/VkG9Xz2) and say whatever you want. Please, let's share both our perspectives on what make a good VR game, and work together to shape something fun and worthwhile.

We're in this, for the love of games and VR!”

Free Play mode is live - and much more!

Dear players and friends,

As we promised, we have another update ready for you. Let’s see what it includes:

Free Play Mode:
The number one most requested feature is here: Free Play mode!

Play music for the customers of Ouzo 54 without any time restrictions and unlimited power-ups.

Along with the “Add you own music” feature that we introduced last time, we think that now Disco Destruction is a experience that you can always come back to, and change its mood with different song styles and tracks.

Polish Round 1 is done:
Also, as you can see, the game is still in Early Access. But, we’ve almost reached the finish line.

After so many months of development, we are in the phase where we polish everything out, to give you a solid, bug-free and good looking experience.

We just finished the first round of polishing, which includes:
  • A much bigger variety of customers: It’s not going to be a “twins party” anymore :steammocking: Your disco is going to be visited by many different styles of customers - and as you will see, it makes a big difference in the feeling of the game.
  • Improved interactions: There’s now a specific touch point in front of your VR controllers, so that you have more precise touching and grabbing. The Vinyl case is also much more friendly to you throwing discs back at it.
  • Improved graphical assets: Some parts of the game were reworked - but this is still a work-in-progress, so expect much more in the next update.
  • Improved feedbacks: Some specific parts of the game that the players were telling us were unclear, so now have much more specific prompts to guide the player better.
What’s coming after?
We’re already working on the 2nd Polishing Round, which will focus on some UIs and some graphical elements - along with the addition of some small new game mechanics.

So, let’s continue to this finish line - and we hope that you all keep supporting us with your comments and feedback.

"Add your own music" feature is live! (and some updates about us)

Dear players and friends,

You’re used to our quietness by now, aren’t you?

The truth is, it’s not something we want - but it’s the unfortunate result of physical timespace constraints: There’s only so many things two people can do in 24 hours.

But, first, to the subject:

The update

Our much requested feature "Add your own music" is live! Please play with it, test it and tell us if you like it.

Also, the feature is now limited to the Arcade mode, but we're getting a Free Play mode ready for you (soon).

About the team behind the game

As we said in the beginning, Disco Destruction is made by only 2 people.

“Limitations” have also been our fuel until now: Disco Destruction was a work of passion, from two people wanting to create something fun and meaningful and setting the base for very (!) good things in the future.

So, from one part, we’re happy to say that one reason we were “late” in our Disco Destruction updates, is that our team has been working with outside customers in various interesting VR/AR projects.

Projects like this are the basis of having a successful company that can survive and do good things.

But now, we’re back, and we have some time planned ahead, only for our game.

The next months of Disco Destruction

The current state of Disco Destruction is, in our opinion, a good enough base for the core game - but now needs a serious polishing pass. Some features that we were building will have to be constrained, so that we can polish a “very good” game out of the current “good enough”.

Our goal, is to create a polished and very fun, casual DJ game, that will also have to possibility to be a great game on upcoming standalone devices, like the Oculus Quest.

For the players/friends that have stood in our side for all of this time and gave us their feedback and support in our Discord channel (Join our Discord!) and forums, we consider them true friends - and since we know most of them by their (user)name by now, they’ll always come first in everything that we do in the future.

To all of you, thanks for everything!

Now, let’s get back to work. And (hopefully) reach our goals soon. :)

About This Game

You are now the DJ of Ouzo 54, a small, Greek-owned, Miami disco. But business has been going down lately...

And this is where you come in: Grab your vinyl packs, check your customers’ moods and play the correct music to keep them dancing - and paying!

The more money you make, the better disc packs you can buy. Or power-ups. Or beautiful props for your disco. And the more money you spend, the more your customers will pay you back!

Things you can do:

Be the DJ
Play your vinyls according to your customers' moods. Some like it chill and some like it hardcore. But be careful! if you make them angry, it will be a mess...

Upgrade your gear
How you’re going to spend your hard-earned money is up to you. Better Vinyl Packs, Power-Ups or DJ Props? Level up your gear and take your crowd to even higher scores!

Add your own music
You wanted a Heavy Metal disco? Or a K-pop one? Simply import your own music files and make the game completely yours.

Free Play
Just play some music and enjoy the Disco Destruction experience without any time constraints.

Our philosophy

Disco Destruction is a VR game, built by a small, indie team in Berlin. Our goal is to give you a fun and accessible experience, that you can enjoy in comfortable 20-minute sessions.

Some things that are coming (very) soon:

  • More Power-Ups and Props
  • More Levels

And remember: Never let the music stop!

System Requirements

    • OS: Windows 10
    • Processor: Intel Core i5 4590 or AMD FX 8350 or greater
    • Memory: 4 GB RAM
    • Graphics: GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon R9 290 or better
    • Storage: 800 MB available space
