「The full version will have all the added features chosen from the community during the Early Access stage, and will be in a polished state.

Currently, Visual Novel Engine will allow you to create a visual novel with all the basic features required for a complete game. The Early Access version already includes text tags, sound tags, image tags, and some advanced tags that let you script custom events in your game.

The goal is to add video based tags, as well as more animation tags to allow for a more customized experience.

As Early Access progresses, more options for customizing the user interface for your game (in-game menus, buttons, fonts, color schemes) will be available as the community helps shape which features are concise while also minimizing clutter.

Speed and simplicity is one of the most important factors of Visual Novel Engine. Early Access will help guide us in the direction that creators would require to make their game exactly how they want it.」

「The engine currently is fully playable and pretty stable. The minor bugs that exist are purely cosmetic and will be feature complete before Early Access is over.」

「The "Export You Game!" DLC will be priced higher once Early Access is over, so now is the time to get it cheap and have priority feature additions.」

「The community is highly important in shaping the features that this visual novel engine will have. New feature requests will be pulled directly from the community as well as any aesthetic changes that are vital to visual novel making.」
