What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“As an indie developer, having never before released a game to such a massive audience, I feel it is best policy to release as early access to let the interested players help me out to create the most enjoyable and most stable game possible.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Ventura Inc is probably going to need at least around half a year more development to get it to a state where it has all the capabilities I currently have planned for. Depending on feedback of players this is subject to change of course.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Currently you'll find that the gameworld has a map of europe with 1 city that can be played in.
Players can conduct their business in that city. And there are currently many industry branches already implemented.

However, for the game to be ready for release i want at least around 10 cities. And, connecting those cities will also require 2 branches, that are currently in the works, but not yet in. (Because they're not needed with the 1 city). Both shipping and airlines. Basically transportation that happens between these cities.

I'm also planning to make it possible to buy and sell company shares of other players. Possibly even allow taking over someone elses company.

Currently also animations in the game are very rare. So i want to make sure that there will be planes flying, cars , trucks, busses, etc in the full release version of the game.

I also want a Steam leaderboard implemented.

Possibly i'll also work on AI to run their own companies as competition of regular players.

Nothing set in stone however, and more idea's or suggestions are welcomed and possibly implemented.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Alot of the main features of the game are in and are functional.
-Different 'branches': Banks, Construction, Steel Mill, Factory, Woodworker, Engineer, Farm, Fisher, Transportation, Housing, Storage, Power Plants, Oil Refineries
-Different 'contracts': Depending on the branch, the player can offer contracts to other players. Contracts can involve: exchange of goods, electricity, fuel, currency accounts, loans, transportation, storage, renting out offices...
-Players can hire, fire people, the city is an ever changing economy.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Pricing is likely to remain similar after release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I will provide a forum (http://ventura-inc.com/forums/forum/ventura-inc/) where people can discuss anything related to the game as well as make suggestions.
I will also take into account the feedback players give when making decisions in the development process.
I will also be playing the game myself, people will be able to speak to me there.
Anyone can always contact me using the mail provided for support.”

About This Game

Ventura Inc is an economic simulation in a consistent multiplayer world. (MMO)
As a player you'll be running a company, signing contracts with other players involving the exchange of goods and services.
In this simulation, you are, just like in the real world, doing business with other player companies to make your profit.
It is possible to choose who you deal with and who's pricing you'll try to undercut. There are different business branches available from where you can make your money:
  • Oil Refinery
  • Transportation
  • Storage
  • Farming
  • Banking
  • Power Plants
  • ...
Key to avoiding bankruptcy is making sure you run your business more cheaply than that of your opponents. (Signing better deals)
Most of the branches need other branches to function. As an example: to generate power you have to rely on storage as well as oil transported to your power plant. Someone will also need to build your power plant for you (someone with a construction branch).

Ventura Inc wants to bring you a game in wich you can play with your friends , work in team, communicate, trade and get rich.
