Hvorfor tidlig tilgang?

TLDR: UnderMine is well polished, includes a lot of content, and is really fun to play. We want to involve the community during Early Access to make it even better. We’ll likely be in EA for 6-8 months. We will release updates every few weeks with new content, features, and bug fixes. Early Access will cost you less.

We want to release UnderMine into Early Access because we want to get our passionate fans involved in the development of the game. Before completing the final bit of content we want to make sure that balance and difficulty are just right. We also want to get a sense of the features and content players want most.

We have a specific roadmap of content we want to complete before we exit Early Access. Specifically we want to have 5 complete zones and 7 boss fights available. But, in addition to that we want to support the game with a lot of new content and features based on community feedback. Having players involved will help us prioritize our work. We can work on the things that the community wants most.

Early Access is not the end either. We intend to continue supporting UnderMine well after 1.0 with the community’s continued involvement.”

“UnderMine will be in Early Access for 6 to 8 months and will be updated on a regular basis every few weeks. We want to make development transparent and will be giving public access to some of our Trello boards so that the community can follow along with what we are working on.”

“The Early Access version of UnderMine includes the first 3 zones of the game and the first 4 bosses. Over the course of EA we will add 2 additional zones and 3 bosses, as well as the expanded story, characters, and content that go along with that.

We also want to improve and expand our existing content. Double everything! At least the number of encounters and items. More enemies too, as well as adding new features and modes based on player feedback. We have big plans.”

“The Early Access build of UnderMine is extremely polished, very stable, and includes a lot of content. We estimate about 15-20 hours await a new player. More specifically we have:

  • 3 distinct zones, plus the main hub
  • 300+ unique encounters
  • 200+ items
  • 4 major bosses
  • 30+ enemies
  • 10+ special characters to meet and rescue

Roguelikes in some ways are measured by their content, and we have a very good pipeline for adding it. We think our goals for EA are ambitious, but also very attainable.”

“Yes. Early Access supporters will get the game at a lower price. We plan to raise the price when the full game is released.”

“Working with the community is the primary reason we are going into Early Access. We want players’ feedback on balance, bugs, content, and features. We heavily encourage people to engage with us on Twitter or join our Discord so that they can be part of the discussion.

Content and Features
Players often have great ideas for items, enemies, and encounters and we want to hear them. Community suggestions have already made their way into the game, and will continue to do so.

Bugs and Balance
It is incredibly difficult to debug such a large and complex game with only a couple of people. We really need help knowing where the bugs are so that we can polish UnderMine to a mirror finish. EA is also a good way to gauge the difficulty of the game, and allows us to make sure that both casual and hardcore players get something out of the experience.

Streaming and Video
We need players to help spread the word of UnderMine, but we also want to help provide content creators with tools that make streaming better and more engaging for their audiences. Whether that is information presented through the game’s UI, or specific features, we want to hear those suggestions.

UnderMine will be localized in many languages and we need you to tell us if we are making a cultural faux pas, or insulting a king or something.”

Features
  • The minimap now hides during combat. This functionality can be disabled via the options menu and is on by default.
  • Intro videos can now be skipped by pressing any button.
  • Clicking outside the game window when running in full-screen no longer minimizes the game.
  • The Journal and Crafting keys are now remappable via the options menu. The default Journal key has been changed to Tab.

Bug Fixes
  • Treasure from a chest partially surrounded by impassable rocks now spreads much more evenly.
  • Enemy pathing has been improved which should result in less enemies getting stuck along walls and help rats get down from statues easier
  • Gargoyles can now more reliably shoot south
  • Fixed an issue loading into Mortar’s room related to killing bosses out-of-order
  • The Fortitude blessing no longer auto-unlocks when you pick up its recipe.
  • Fixed an issue causing floors to lay themselves out in a fashion that would soft lock the player (pillars or pits blocking doors)
  • Fixed an issue with a Halls encounter that forced the player into a hole upon re-entry
  • Fixed an issue with a Mines encounter that caused a lever to not work if used upon re-entry

Other Changes
  • Changed the sprites for exploding barrels and loaded rats to be more distinguishable for color blind people

  • Fixed a German localization issue preventing you from joining the Pilfer Loyalty Program or playing Black Rabbit’s treasure chest minigame
  • Fixed an issue preventing your ignited pickaxe from igniting enemies
  • Improved the particle rendering order for certain status effects
  • Added extra logic to prevent the Rockpile Mimic from clipping through the wall during his boulder move

UnderMine is an action-adventure roguelike with a bit of RPG tossed in. Blending combat and dungeon crawling from traditional roguelikes like “The Binding of Isaac,” with the progression of roguelites like “Rogue Legacy,” UnderMine delivers a fresh new entry to the genre. Mine gold on each run and increase the peasant’s power by finding powerful relics. Rescue NPCs and return them to the hub where they will open up shop and offer powerful upgrades for future runs. Delve deeper, exploring each new area, discover its many secrets and ultimately defeat its powerful boss.


Discover relics, potions, prayers, blessings, and even curses to forge that perfect run. Watch as items pop off and combo with one another to make a god peasant of destruction.


Discover friendly (and some unfriendly) characters in need of rescue. After returning them safe to the mine's hub they will offer powerful upgrades that can be used from run to run.


Explore every nook and cranny to discover hundreds of secrets. New relics, potions, characters, and story bits lay behind the statues, rocks, and walls of each floor.


Each area of the UnderMine contains one (or more!) deadly boss that will test planning, patience, strategy, and skill. Prepare well, because a test awaits!

Darkly Lighthearted

UnderMine has a rich world to explore and discover with charming characters, and a plot full of intrigue. Experience the plight of the poor peasant sent into the goldmine. His job is to labor away for a boss that doesn’t care about him, in an environment that is openly hostile, and among creatures that want to tear his flesh off his bones. A pretty funny situation when you think about it and something we can all relate to.
