What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“This game still requires work before it will be considered finished. Currently, EA will provide interested players with a free current version of the game in order to receive user feedback as the game grows.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“This game may very well be in Early Access for another couple of months based on the programmer's available time and resources. It is currently around 75% finished in terms of story and working assets.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“TinkerQuarry will publish its base 1.0 version ASAP, with many probable changes to the look and feel of the game beforehand. The final version will include reworked artwork (character sprites, character cut scenes, and certain map textures tweaked), up to 5 different endings based on user choices and interactions (with one truly "good" and one completely "bad" ending), and additions or changes to the Soundtrack (A mixture of surreal tones and classical theater music).”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“This current build contains: Various Completed map segments, custom music + artwork, and ~2-3 hours worth of gameplay, splitting story "paths" with different outcomes.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Prices are subject to change.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“User review and imput will play a vital role in the direction of this project.”

-New Item: Rat King Crown

-Buffed Staya and Sera -slightly- to accomodate Spilling buff
-Experimental "Multi-battles" in new "Plagued" rooms, on 2nd and 1st floor. Random encounters do not exist in the Locked Halls.

Minor changes:
-More dialogue added to some characters in Lower Residence Hall

-All rats now show blood in red instead of grey when Impaired / near Impairment for continuity purposes
-Final Grandfather Clock Poem
-Adeline's battleChar no longer has a shifting parcel when impaired in battle

-Ire added to the Tunnels.
-Missing descriptions restored
-Can no longer clamber on the wall in the Study (You aren't Skid.)

-New Odettes in Tunnels / Study Transit now play the right music after using
-Wemblin now has some special late-game items

(However, if you experience any "Phantom" Clints from 0.5.1, send me your save on Discord and I'll fix that for you.)

All of this will then build up to the "end" of the game, which will be the next megapatch. We're in the home stretch now!

Current saves should be retained per-computer.
HOWEVER, (in the rare case that it is not....

How do I save my current save file to use it in an upcoming update?
-Go to the TinkerQuarry Steam folder and locate each file that says "save". Copy these to a separate folder and carry them back over to the new version once it updates. Until Steam Cloud is implemented, all saves will be wiped from the Steam Folder, so it is recommended to save them elsewhere if the next version is compatible.

The details in this post may be updated and are subject to change. Thank you for all your help, and don't stop giving feedback if you find an issue!

About This Game

Waking up in a strange room within an ethereal dollhouse, a young girl must travel with her rabbit companion to escape the confines of the rat and "Tinker" infested halls. By exploring each floor, they will be tasked with puzzles and strange etchings, hostile and amiable sentient toys, and vicious creatures... All the while being stalked by the being known as "Stayawhile", aiming to trap not only the duo, but everything existing in his world.

DISCLAIMER: This game is in Early Access and will receive many updates and improvements based on prior planning and user review. Players should expect possible additions as well as various technical and artistic changes as the RPG is developed.

Story-wise, the game is around 75% completed with 2~3 hours worth of gameplay and content. This is NOT a full release just yet.

Special thanks to musicians Julia Harkin and Antriksh Bali for providing custom compositions!

Please note that this game uses RTP placeholder sound effects, and some sounds sourced from Soundation Studio. Most of these will be phased out over time and/or re-composed into original tracks.
