Miksi Early Access?

We are a small team from Italy. Early Access will help us to keep in touch with
our players and obtain their feedback, this will help us a lot on the development.
Supporting the game in Early Access you are helping us to deliver you the best experience we can craft.
We are planning to upload periodically our game so you will experience new features and play new parts of the game, going further with the story.

Miten kauan peli tulee arviolta olemaan Early Access -vaiheessa?

The development of the game is at an excellent point as far as the 3D, logic and game design part is concerned.
We estimate that it would take around 6-9 months for us to complete the game's polishing and animations.
Unfortunately COVID emergency and subsequent lockdown and impossibility to work together at our studio slowed down things and forced us to delay the release date in order to keep the quality we want for the final product. As a result, we aim to release the full version in early 2021.
We will further define the date more precisely as the development advances.

LIZ: Before the Plague has three rooms currently playable, where the drone B-4 will teach the player how to use the tools that Liz has available to investigate the scene.
In the latest update we also introduced the shooting mechanics.

Muuttuuko pelin hinta Early Access -vaiheen jälkeen?

We really appreciate the support of early backers, so the game will be cheaper during its stay in Early Access.
The game's price will be increased on the game release day.

Early Access players can report issues, ask info to the developers and leave feedback, feel free to contact us if you encounter problems or experience bugs, we will do our best to answer everyone in a short time and to solve reported problems.

Liz: Before the Plague is a story driven VR horror immersive experience with investigative and shooting gameplay dynamics. One night, in a near future, a detective from special investigation Unit named Liz has to face a strange case that seems a common one... but it’s not. She has to respond to a distress call from a famous pharmaceutical company and investigate, collecting info and survive using her own tools.
Figure out what happened and resolve the case.

Main Features

  • Investigate environments and solve puzzles to unlock new areas;
  • Defend yourself and the survivors;
  • Get involved in Liz's mission by kinematics in third person;
  • Live an experience with horror and sci-fi mood in Boston of 2138.

Story

It is late night and Liz, a special agent, is called to intervene in a pharmaceutical company where two colleagues of her, were brought some hour before in answer to a call of help.
Once arrived on the place Liz understands that the atmosphere is unusual and there is no trace of her colleagues.
Will Liz manage to find out who called for help?
How will you survive the night?

Immersion

Everything inside LIZ has been studied in order to improve player’s immersion. Nothing in the game makes the player think what he’s seeing is not real:
  • The main character’s body is visible in-game and follows the player’s movements where possible;
  • All the UI is located on the character’s gear;
  • The environment is enclosed and NPCs refer directly to the player.

Investigation

The main focus of the LIZ experience orbits around the events occurred in the building where the main character is called to investigate. Liz has to investigate environments using advanced tools supported by her drone, B-4, in different ways.

Shooting

While Liz investigates on location, she is attacked by the people working there. The threats must be managed with the utmost firmness to avoid compromising the mission. Violence must be contained in order to complete the mission. Liz has a weapon supplied, a handgun, and she will use it to defend herself.
Sometimes It’s not so easy to get rid of threats: sometimes you have to cover a wounded ally or escort a survivor and you’re not the only one to defend.

This is a horror and shooter game.
