What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Early Access gives us the time and possibility to gather player feedback and improve the core game as we develop new stages, weapons and enemies. Our goal is to deliver a well polished and amazingly fun game for everyone to enjoy.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“By developing on community feedback we are aiming to have the full game finished by the end of the year. Having said that, our main goal is to deliver a polished and properly functioning game so until then this will be an Early Access project.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“After the initial EA release we will keep adding content until the game is complete. This means new stages, new weapons and new enemies, including boss battles.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“In this current state the game contains three stages. There are four enemy types and four different weapons to play with. The non-dominant hand controls the mechanical arm that has a couple of time bending power-ups. At the end of each level the player earns a score based on their finesse to encourage replayability.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game will be sold at a discounted price during the Early Access. As we add new content to the game, this discount will gradually drop until the game is completed.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback will play a huge role in the development of District Steel. We are developing this game as long time gamers ourselves and we know how important communication is between players and developers. Through the Community Hub on Steam players will have the possibility to share their thoughts on the game.”
