What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Even though the game isn't fully developed and there's a lot more story and things to do coming to it, there's still a lot of great content in the game. The demand for this game has been off the charts, so we decided to allow early access on Steam.

Additionally, we don't see an end to new content in this game in the near future. The engine is constantly being updated and even when we start new projects, we will be using the same engine and cross-updating the engine with any enhancements back to House Party to unlock even more to do in the game. New adventures are constantly being added to the Original Story, and there is a steadily growing player community that is actively writing custom stories which makes for hours and hours of content even though the game is not finished.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We will eventually call one of the versions 1.0. I can see that happening sometime in late 2019. But that doesn't mean that we won't continue to update the game with new stories.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Right now, there are several stories you can already play in House Party, but before we will call this game a "full version", we plan to add lots of more content.

First off, we plan to add a lot more story to the game. A few of the characters already have really in-depth stories, and some have shorter stories, but we are planning to give every character a full in-depth story complete with unique endings.

Alongside the stories come a lot more quests to complete as well!

We also plan to add a lot more interactivity with different items around the house, and update the AI to be more autonomously interacting with the environment. When our game is fully realized, they will be very autonomous, and they would walk around and eat, drink, dance, interact with each other, and much more while they are not facilitating the player's main goals.

Additionally, we plan to add many more interactions between characters that will be able to be performed by the player in game, or directed using the Custom Story Creator so you can create elaborate new scenes and scenarios!

On top of all of this, we are using the revenue from Early Access to pump back into better graphics and animation!

You can consider the game in its current state to be more of a prototype.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is fully playable with fully voiced and animated characters, and several stories you can play through to one of many endings.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We haven't decided on the final price of the game yet. We have lots of ideas and lots more content to add. The price will remain the same until our 1.0 launch, but a price change is definitely possible considering there will be a lot more content in the game at launch. We also don't plan to offer any paid DLC.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Absolutely. We have a strong player community actively creating new content for the game using our Custom Story Creator, as well as a forum and a Discord channel. We often hold contests and give away free keys for the game and we also allow winners to pick which stories are added to the game next based on a few options.”

Life of the Party: Tiffany Witcher (Leah) Interview

House Party wouldn't be what it is today without the voice actors. These talented men and women go to bat for us with each update, especially when we make them say some of the most ridiculous shit ever to be spoken in a video game.

In honor of their dedication, we'd like to showcase some of House Party's voice talent in a series of interviews that'll help you connect with the people behind our characters.

Our first interview is with Leah's voice actor, Tiffany Witcher. As the newest member of House Party's cast, Tiffany's already kicking ass and taking names as she helps bring this budding character to life. Let's hear more from the voice behind Leah!

First off, tell us all about Tiffany Witcher.

Well hello, my name is Tiffany Witcher and I'm a voice actor. I've been voice acting for about five years working in entertainment for ten. I'm an advocate for raising awareness for Lupus and I also stream and cosplay. I live in Canada in the Ontario area but I’m originally from Washington DC.

How did you get into voice acting?

I've always loved to act and I did stage acting for a very long time. At one point I wanted to do Broadway but unfortunately due to my medical condition that wasn't in the cards. It wasn't until I was suggested to do voice acting from a friend I was like, “Yeah maybe I can give it a try!” I did small projects for fun but soon realized I really enjoyed the work and wanted to do this as my career.

What made you want to join the House Party roster?

Well, it's a funny story, my husband played the game for a long time and I also played with him after watching the Game Grumps' Let's Plays. I said, “Man, this would be fun to voice for.” It wasn't until months later a friend informed me there was a casting call for it. I quickly looked at it, prepared myself for the audition, and ta-da! It's great getting in a game you wanted to voice for. I almost thought I didn’t have the role because I was told on April 1st.

Looking back, we mayybbbee shoulda changed the day of our selection to a day, you know, not known for bullshitting. But it all worked out! Anyway...

What kind of stories would you like to see from your character Leah in the future?

Honestly considering this game breaks the 4th wall a lot. It would be amazing if there was like a martial arts like experience in black and white. The lips don't properly sync and all that. I think that would be hilarious and at the end of it all you get to, you know, have Leah.

Oh man, now we can't get this scene out of our head. (NSFW, cause of Tarantino.)

Are there any other cool projects that have/will feature your voice acting?

I've voiced in a variety of indie titles, animations and more. I would first like to thank the team behind Luna and the Moonling for first getting me into video game voice acting. Since then, I've voiced in Lucius 3 which was pretty interesting and even a game called What?! My Neighbors are Demons which is a fun lewd visual novel. I voice in a few animations like one I really love called "00:High" that’s on youtube by Akioboy.  With more stuff in the future!

What advice would you give to aspiring VAs just starting out?

Patience! That is the best advice I can give. This takes time to get into and to grow. It's hard work as well and you need to be prepared to do so. Understand you won’t get every role and that rejection is part of being a voice actor.

Where can the fans follow your work?

I stream pretty regularly on Twitch, so make sure to check out my social media to see when you can catch me next!

Let's Talk GAME GRUMPS

Hey Party People,

We know there’s been a lot of questions about when Dan and Arin will be headed for House Party.

Prepare your bodies, because we have the greenlight to begin production on the Game Grumps storyline. It’s happening, friends!

Everybody at Eek appreciates your patience while we got all our cocks in a row. Ducks...while we got all our ducks in a row.

As some of you might know, we’ve already entered production on LetyDoesStuff’s update, who was the female winner of the same contest the Game Grumps won. We won’t truly be starting on any Game Grumps content until Lety’s story is the BEST it can be. Working with Lety to create a killer storyline has been a lot of fun, and we look forward to doing the same with Dan and Arin just as soon as this current update is ready for release.

Seriously, we can’t wait for Dan and Arin to knock on Madison’s door and begin another fantastic chapter of House Party, and we know you can’t either.

Of course we want to know what you, the fans of House Party and Game Grumps, would like to see from this collaboration! Let us know your ideas in the comments below and we’ll make sure our team takes a look as we begin our storyboarding process.

Just no butt stuff.

Well, maybe a little butt stuff.

Test your wits by making smart choices and you may just get lucky, but watch out for Frank! It's YOUR night! New opportunity or peril could be waiting behind all your in-game choices. Maybe you’ll be a swell guy, and help the guests out with their problems, or maybe you’ll be a trouble-maker and start some drama? The choice is yours to be well-behaved, or completely inappropriate! Come on in... the party’s already started!

House Party is a 3D interactive adventure game for adults where your choices will shape the events and outcome to a multitude of possible endings. Every choice you make can lead to a different outcome. Are you ready to test your “game”?

The party is underway, and the guests are having fun. The only thing missing is YOU. As you walk in, the challenge begins. Test your “smarts”, your “smooth-talking”, and your determination as you unfold each character’s story through conversation and “other means”. The odds could be in your favor tonight… if you play your cards right.

How you engage with guests will lead you to a different outcome each time you start a new game. The story is in your hands as your actions dictate the gameplay. You will also be faced with moral dilemmas that yield different outcomes and shape how the story unfolds. House Party will make you think and plan each move.

And YES, IT’S FUN! After all, it is a House Party, complete with all the debauchery you’d expect. Be warned, there is plenty of foul language, tons of nudity, fighting, party games, drinking, and sex. It doesn’t pull any punches! You decide who to befriend, and who to betray as you unravel each guest’s unique storyline, guaranteed to be packed with fun quests and challenges. Each character in the game is fully voice-acted, and did we mention, hot?

House Party is a brilliant 3D game with sexy models and its fair share of witty, sarcastic humor. A robust AI allows the characters to respond to a multitude of stimuli and choices you throw at them. This game is going to keep you on your toes with multiple story-paths and different outcomes based on the choices you make.

If you consider yourself a story-teller or a game-maker, you can customize the gameplay using our Custom Story Creator (found on the Eek! Games website). Craft your own story including full dialogues, interactions, and logic dictating how the player’s night will unfold. Import your stories into your game and share them with other players. It’s really easy to use, and you don’t need any programming experience. Join the many players already creating and sharing stories on the game’s official forum and let them experience YOUR story.
