What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We want to give players the opportunity to experience the game early and be a part of Flashing Lights' development. Feedback from the community will allow us to detect any faults and issues much faster and help to make it a more stable game when it releases as a full game.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Flashing Lights has a strong and vibrant community, and we love developing the game as much as they love playing it. We’ll keep evolving and updating the game as long as you keep playing and providing feedback and ideas!”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version marks the point at which new gameplay mechanics and updates will not be as frequent. During Early Access, we should have a number of new missions for each role, vehicle customisation, several map updates as well as more tools and equipment. Closer to the full release we would hope to have all major languages added to the game as well.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Flashing Lights features an expansive roster of missions, equipment and vehicles for the police, fire and EMS departments. The entire game is playable in single player and up to ten player multiplayer.

We have also settled into a system of updating the game with substantial new content every month, while also revealing quarterly roadmaps every three months, giving you all a good idea of what’s up next.

The game is a work in progress, and so there’s a possibility of running into bugs.

Here is just a selection of the exciting content currently available in Flashing Lights:

Police

The police department have access to a pistol, shotgun, speedgun, spike strips, multiple police cars and more. Take on dangerous perps in gunfights, engage in high speed car chases, stop robberies and issue parking tickets.

Fire

The fire department utilises water hoses, hydrants, the jaws of life, ladders, axes, chainsaws, fire engines and more. Put out raging fires, clear fallen trees from the road and save cats from trees.

EMS

The EMS department makes use of the defibrillator, heart scanner, bandages, stretcher, med bag and ambulance. Perform CPR, save civilians from life-threatening car accidents, injuries and more.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game's price may increase with substantial updates. We will do our best to inform you before a price increase happens.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We appreciate the suggestions from the community and will consider implementing them into the game. We hope that much of the community will share their thoughts in the community forums and help us to shape a fun game.”

About This Game

FLASHING LIGHTS

Enrol with the police, emergency medical services or fire department and take on missions unique to each service in an open world. Engage in desperate car chases, diagnose life-threatening injuries, and put out lethal fires! Each department has its own vehicles and equipment for you to operate while on duty. Play in single player, or work together with friends in online multiplayer to tackle incidents across a shared world.

Usually the first to respond to a criminal incident, the police are equipped with the fastest vehicle and a variety of equipment. Their roles vary from handing out parking tickets to chasing down dangerous suspects. They’ll do everything they can to prevent criminal activity and put a stop to any crimes in progress.

As an emergency medical specialist, your job lies in keeping members of the public alive, treating patients’ injuries, diagnosis and more. Lifesaving equipment you’ll utilise includes medical kits, stretchers and ambulances.

The role of the fire department extends far beyond putting out flames, as they work closely with medical services out in the field, swiftly cutting open crashed cars so that medical staff can reach the casualty. The fire department won’t engage in the pursuit of suspects, but will handle the aftermath of an incident, including, of course, putting out fires. Battling raging flames and freeing trapped civilians involves some heavy-duty gear including spreaders, a fire hose, a fire extinguisher and a fire truck.

MULTI-PLAYER

Team up with fellow players online and divide your team between the three emergency services at will. Race around the open world in various vehicles, to where you are needed, working together to help civilians in accidents or catch a fleeing criminal.

MISSIONS

Various calls to action will see you responding to incidents based on your chosen department, as well as the relevant area in the open world. From speeding and illegal parking, to raging fires and life-threatening car accidents, the pressure is on in Flashing Lights.

THE WORLD

Flashing Lights features a thriving open world (currently 3.5KM x 3.5KM) that will see emergencies break out in all corners of life.

Early Access

All screenshots on this page are a work in progress, and visuals are subject to change. It is our plan to expand the open world to include different environments, missions and scenarios. We will also be adding further emergency services equipment and gameplay mechanics throughout the Early Access period.
