What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We have been working on simulating cameras for almost a year now and there are a lot of avenues to explore, especially in VR. It can be photography simulation purely for teaching purpose. It can also be pure experimentation of a dream camera and, why not, a new photographic practise (VR photography). Early Access will allow us to gather feedback and see which direction is the most interesting for our audience.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“At the moment we think Magic Hour will remain in Early Access for three to six months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“For the full version we are planning to bring more subjects to take pictures of (and interact with), different environments, more advanced cameras with different lenses and a virtual teacher to help users learn the basics of photography while having fun.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version currently offers a fully controllable camera (Aperture, Shutter Speed, Exposure Compensation, Focal Length, ASM modes) with a hand-crafted island and hidden surprises to find. Pictures can be saved to be shared outside of Magic Hour.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The Early Access version will be priced at a lower price point than the full version.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We want to fully engage with our community in order to make sure that ideas, suggestions and any kind of feedback will be considered so as it can potentially lead to implementation of new features.”
