Revolution’s origins, and how the founders came together. Charles Cecil offers insights into a budding games industry, selling games on cassette tapes at micro-fairs, how publishers turned game developers into rockstars, and the truth behind the legendary ‘Mexico ’86 scandal’.
2. Beneath a Steel Sky

Revolution began their unique collaboration with 'Watchmen' co-creator Dave Gibbons in developing the cult classic 'Beneath a Steel Sky'. Gibbons recalls the challenges of adapting his art and world building skills in what became one of the world’s first fully voiced adventure - pixel-by-pixel.
3. Broken Sword

Revolution’s success lead to a more ambitious approach to creating new adventure games. Charles Cecil explores the genesis of George, Nico, and the ‘Broken Sword’ universe. He reveals how it changed the company, and confesses the dark secret behind the creation of the infamous goat puzzle.
4. Changing Dimensions

With the march of 3D visceral gameplay, Revolution released ‘In Cold Blood’. As their tech evolved, it culminated in ‘Broken Sword 3 - The Sleeping Dragon’. However, in an era where publishers had firm control, the strain began to take its toll with dramatic consequences.
