Why Early Access?

“We really want to make a game that people have fun with. To do that, we're going to need lots of feedback. We think early access is the perfect tool to get the kind of feedback we want from people who are interested in our game. It's also a great way to start creating relationships with players for our first title since nobody knows what to expect from us just yet.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We had originally planned to finish Heavy Impact in July of 2017. We were on target but here it is, early October of 2017 after experiencing an unexpectedly rocky year so far. We slowed down a lot in the earlier parts of 2017 since one of us created a brand new human and we all had life shakeups of various sorts. We are hopeful to land on a trajectory that puts us toward a mid-2019 release of the final game.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is intended to have far more content with a full campaign mode and the robot building and customizing system will be fully implemented. There will be more modules and abilities to use in the final version as well.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The early access version is ready and currently playable. If I had to give the current version a percentage of completeness, I would say it's 25% toward the final full version, though I do believe the first 25% was the most difficult part. The majority of our mechanics have been pretty well solidified at this point and the rest is a matter of building upward.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to raise the price once along with the final release of the game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We hope to include as much as we reasonably can from the community in our development process while keeping true to the vision we feel passionately about. Please, please, please give us feedback and we apologize in advance if we are unable to get to everything. Our top goal is making this game as fun as possible. We want the maximum number of smiles.”

About This Game

Bot fighting is big money after the war. You stumbled across a fresh power core, and now you've got a shot to show the arena what you're made of, quite literally if you happen to get busted up too bad.

Heavy Impact in a no-holds-barred, post apocalyptic robot brawler! Punch the bolts off the opposition with multiple stages, opponents and fighting modes! Customize your bot to your fighting style, and conquer the arena!

Heavy Impact is like Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots if they grew up listening to metal and bled oil when their heads popped off. In this game you will jab, hook, and punch with everything you have, and give it your all because the harder you punch, the more the brawler bot feels the hits! Don't drop your hands though, remember to block and float like a two-ton butterfly because your iron jaw won't last long against the pistons throwing punches your way! If you get into a bind, don't forget your ace in the hole, over-clock your CPU to slow down time so you can see the punches coming, dodge a hay-maker, and plant a combo that will CRUSH 'EM LIKE A TIN CAN!
