About This Game

The cart corral is right there. Some people just don't care.

Cart Karma is a co-op brawler for 1 to 8 players set in a store car park. You're the lot crew. Shoppers come out of the store, load their cars, and then make their choice: walk the cart back, or leave it where it stands. Nobody looks guilty until they do it. Once they ditch it, they're marked, and they're yours until they drive away.

CATCH THEM IN THE ACT

Every shopper looks innocent until the cart leaves their hands. Some leave it by the car and stroll off. Some shove it down the aisle and run. Some kick it across the lot, and some park it in the next empty space. A few stand their ground and fight back. Hit an innocent shopper and it costs you.

ONE PUNCH, RIGHT ON THE CHIN

Put your crosshair on a ditcher's chin and throw. A clean hit knocks them out in one blow, and they go down face first in slow motion. When they get back up, they walk their cart back to the corral. If you'd rather keep the pace up, you can turn the slow motion off in the menu.

THROW THE CART BACK AT THEM

Grab a loose cart and walk it into a corral for points, or launch it across the lot at whoever left it there. Already behind the wheel? Open their door and drag them out before the car leaves the lot.

CLOCK IN, GET PAID, GEAR UP

Between shifts the crew waits in the break room. That's where you clock in, watch the TV, and spend your pay on upgrades: boxing gloves, running shoes, steel-toe boots, a cart cannon, a megaphone that freezes shoppers in their tracks, a flying tackle, overtime pay, speed bumps for the whole lot, and a Walkman that plays music while you work.

WORK YOUR WAY UP

You start at a corner shop with one aisle and one corral. After three good shifts, apply for the next job on the break room computer. There are six stores in all, from a small supermarket up to a members-only warehouse with the biggest lot in town. Every shift, the crew's karma has to clear the store's line. Fall short and you're fired: your cash, upgrades and experience are wiped, and you start over at the corner shop. Finish the career and the whole town finally learns its lesson.
