About This Game

Aery – Surreal World is a relaxing, story-driven flight exploration game that carries you through a series of impossible, dreamlike worlds where reality has quietly lost its mind.

You play as a tiny spirit drifting endlessly forward through landscapes that shouldn't exist. Glide alongside an enormous dirty whale as it tumbles weightlessly through a sky laced with glittering rainbows — close enough to see the barnacles and grime clinging to its hide as streaks of violet and gold light wash over it. Descend into a sunken apartment block resting silently on the ocean floor, where coral has crept up the wallpaper, fish drift through the living room, and the television still flickers faintly in the deep blue dark. Soar through a vast kingdom where every tree, every cloud, and every cobblestone has been consumed by solid, gleaming gold — beautiful, eerie, and utterly silent.

Each world is its own self-contained dream: a unique color palette, atmosphere, and mood that tells a different piece of a larger, quietly unfolding story. Hidden across every level are glowing memory fragments — scattered clues to what this broken universe once was. Collect enough of them and the next impossible world opens up.

Aery – Surreal World is designed above all else to feel good. The flying is smooth and freeing, the worlds are strange and beautiful, and the story unfolds gently without ever demanding anything of you. Whether you play to explore, to collect, or simply to get lost somewhere wonderfully weird, there is always something waiting just around the next impossible corner.

Gameplay

Singleplayer Story Mode: You begin adrift in a world that shouldn't exist — floating just beside the barnacle-crusted flank of an enormous whale as it lumbers lazily through an endless sky stitched together with arching rainbows. You are a tiny bird shaped spirit that moves continuously forward, free to drift in any direction you choose. After you've soaked in the sheer strangeness of your surroundings — the way soap-bubble clouds pop softly against the whale's grimy hide, the way rainbow light bends and bleeds across the air — you begin exploring. Hidden throughout each impossible world are memory fragments: glowing shards of a reality that once made sense. You glide toward one hovering near a streak of violet rainbow and absorb it. Once you've collected enough, the world shifts and a new chapter of the story unfolds.

Each level drops you into an entirely different surreal setting — a waterlogged apartment deep on the ocean floor where coral blooms from the sofa and fish drift lazily through the hallways; a vast silent kingdom where every tree, every cloud, every blade of grass has been swallowed by gleaming gold; a sky-scape where gravity has forgotten its own rules. Every world has its own color palette, atmosphere, mood, and story, abstractly tracing a journey through the impossible. At the start of each new area, the world pauses just long enough to tell you where — and what — you are. It is up to you to find all the memory fragments and piece together the truth hiding behind the surreal.
