About This Game

A room. A job. A frequency.

England, the 1980s. You fix radios at Holloway Repairs, where keeping up with Len's jobs earns your back room. You've rebuilt a discarded broadcast kit. Now you want to give the neighbourhood something worth tuning in for.

Stolen Frequencies is a single-player radio and business simulation about building a life around music. Start with two cassettes and a small signal. Learn who is listening, find your next tape and turn hard-earned cash into something of your own.

  • Build a collection you can actually listen to. Discover more than 55 unique songs spanning a wide range of 1980s-inspired genres. Unwind at home with the tapes you've acquired, or broadcast your favourites to your in-game audience. Learn local tastes and shape programmes that keep listeners coming back.
  • Build your station. Carry and install your broadcast kit, improve its aerial and plan a programme of up to six queued tapes. Learn local tastes, answer listener requests and collect support from people who enjoy your broadcasts.
  • Keep an eye on the street. Your signal can attract police attention as well as listeners. Read search warnings, decide when to go off air and move your equipment. Repeated cautions can end your run.
  • Earn your way. Open radios on the workbench, inspect components, make repairs and test each set before returning it for pay. Take deliveries or invest in 16 local businesses, managing stock, prices, staff and upgrades in person.
  • Find your next favourite. Explore eight towns, meet local contacts and buy, earn or record new cassettes. Six gig rooms offer chances to capture performances while watching the stewards and keeping your recorder out of sight.
  • Own the room. Complete renovation work and buy Platform Afterhours. Choose from the songs you've earned for its programme, welcome guests and spot illicit recordings. Running a music night puts you on the other side of the room.
  • Make a career of it. Follow 80 story missions, take on continuing work and keep broadcasting and running your businesses after the story milestones. Separate Three-Day Broadcast, Tycoon Week and Opening Night challenges offer focused goals and local records.

Designed for mouse and keyboard. Game text is in English.
