About This Game

Idle War Legion: WW2 is an idle auto-battler set in World War II. Recruit infantry, tanks, artillery, fortifications and aircraft, arrange them into front, middle and back rows, and your troops will push across a pixel-art battlefield on their own: infantry pick their way through craters and barbed wire, tanks charge through enemy fire, and artillery and bombers support them from the rear. Just pour your loot into upgrades, Rank Ups and research, and watch your legion grow stronger with every stage.

  • Fully automatic real-time combat at 1×, 2× or 4× speed. Turn on Auto Advance and your army moves on to the next stage after every win.

  • The war doesn't stop when you close the game: come back to an Offline Command Report with up to 12 hours of earnings (Talents can extend this further).

  • Idle on your desktop[/b]: shrink the game into Mini Mode, a small always-on-top window in the corner of your screen, and keep an eye on the fighting and the battle reports while you work or watch videos.

  • Airdrop balloons and Supply Crates turn up on the battlefield from time to time, and so do captured soldiers waiting to be rescued. One click frees them to join the fight.

Six branches (Infantry, Armor, Artillery, Fortification, Air Force and Support) with 8 units each:

  • Infantry: Rifle Squad, Assault Squad, MG Team, Sniper Team, Flamethrower Troops, Medic Team and more

  • Armor: M4 Sherman, T-34/76, Panzer IV, Tiger, IS-2 Heavy Tank and more

  • Artillery: M2A1 105mm Howitzer, Pak 40, BM-13 Katyusha, M1 8-inch Howitzer and more

  • Fortification: MG Emplacement, 88mm Flak, Searchlight Post, Early-Warning Radar and more

  • Air Force: Spitfire, P-47 Thunderbolt, Ju 87 Stuka, Il-2 Sturmovik, Lancaster Heavy Bomber and more

  • Support: Radio Operators, GMC Supply Truck, Field Wrecker, Artillery Observation Balloon, Field Ambulance and more

Every unit has its own skills, plus a short History Tip.

The battles play out automatically, but every unit type fights according to its own traits:

  • Tanks are more vulnerable on the sides and rear, and shells without enough penetration bounce off their front armor.

  • Artillery fires ranging shots and then adjusts its aim, but a target marked by an observer is hit from the very first round. Rocket trucks relocate right after each salvo.

  • MG Teams and mortars must set up again after changing position; Sniper Teams wait in hiding and are hard to target until they open fire.

  • Stukas dive-bomb, P-47s drop their bombs and then strafe at low level, and the high-flying Lancaster can only be reached by the 88mm Flak and fighters.

  • Medics treat the wounded just behind the front line. An ambulance heals faster once it stops and pitches its tent, and together with sandbags and MG Emplacements it forms a solid defensive position.

  • Infantry caught by a shell have a chance to hit the dirt in time and survive.

  • Explosions blast craters, knock down trees and utility poles, and set off fuel barrels, changing the terrain and how units move. By the end of a battle, the field looks nothing like it did at the start.

  • Up to 10 lineup slots across three rows: the Front Row closes in and soaks up damage, the Middle Row holds its firing range, and the Back Row delivers long-range firepower. If the Front Row is wiped out, the units behind step up.

  • Level-ups, Rank Ups through 7 Ranks (each Rank brings a new frame color), Gear, 13 Supply Research lines and Legion bonuses add up to a broad, deep progression you can shape however you like.

  • Recruit new units at the Recruitment Center: set up a Wishlist, and a Legendary unit is guaranteed within 60 pulls.

  • Prestige: restart the campaign in exchange for Permanent Talents. In each run, the first time you defeat a chapter's Boss, you choose 1 of 3 Tactical Upgrades, so every run can be built around a different strategy.

Campaign: 14 chapters and 112 stages. Fight your way through Dawn Landing, Black Pine Forest, Scorched City, Frozen Front, Blackwater Swamp, Night Raid and beyond, all the way to the Final Fortress. Sandstorms, rain, snow and night battles: every chapter has its own terrain and battlefield conditions.

Boss War Room: 14 Bosses, including the Iron Train, Snow Behemoth, Valley Ironclad, Ashen Giant Mortar and Doomsday Bastion, with four difficulty levels from Common to Nightmare.

Infinite Cyber War Tower: a holographic virtual battlefield on a neon grid, where enemies emerge from a summoning gate and the battlefield conditions change every day. Mix your units and see how high you can climb.

Grand Army Battle: large-scale 20 vs 20 battles. Each week brings a new season in which you compete for rank against 99 computer Commanders, and while you're playing, your rivals will launch raids on you too.

Plus the Daily Operation, Supply Raids, the Supply Shop and the Supply Wheel, with fresh rewards every day.

  • A 3D battlefield in pixel-art style: pixel-drawn soldiers fight alongside 3D tanks, guns and aircraft, with camouflage painted to match each environment.

  • Vehicles that take hits catch fire, their paint scorches and thick smoke pours out. Team Outlines show through the smoke, so you can follow the action no matter how chaotic it gets.

  • Insignia Workshop: draw your own unit insignia with the 48×48 pixel painter and put it on your tanks.

  • Available in 9 languages: Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Spanish, German and French.

  • 6 save slots.

  • Every unit and resource is earned in-game. No microtransactions.
