Legio Impera is a real-time strategy game that blends city-building and warfare in the age of the Marian legions, at the end of the Roman Republic. You start with a single forum on untamed land, and your mission is to turn it into a thriving city able to sustain — and pay — its own army.

A living economy

• Every citizen has a trade: select them and send them to build, chop wood, farm or work in mills, bakeries and workshops.
  
• Real production chains: from wheat to flour and from flour to bread; olive oil, wine, hunting, timber and stone.
  
• Warehouses and granaries, adjustable taxes and leisure buildings that keep your people's morale high.
  
• Rome won't wait: fulfil its orders and trade with it before time runs out.

The legion, piece by piece

• Recruit legionaries, archers, velites and cavalry, and equip them with what your city produces.
  
• No pay, no food, no legion: your troops' morale decides whether they hold the line or flee.
