A puzzle game where kanji panels fuse with their neighbours to form new characters. Put 木 next to 木 and you get 林; add one more for 森. Work out where to place each piece to build the kanji or the word each stage asks for.

About This Game

Build kanji from their parts

Place a kanji panel on the board and it fuses with the panel beside it to form a new character.
Put 寸 under 土 and you get 寺; add 日 to its left and you get 時. Above, below, beside, diagonal, or overlaid — the shape of the kanji itself is the rule.

How far can a single move take you?

A kanji created by a fusion looks around again for another partner to merge with.
Lay things out well and one move sets off a chain of fusions.

Stage objectives

  • Complete a specified compound word on the board
  • Make several kanji that all share a specified radical
  • Set off a required number of chains
  • Use up every panel in your hand

Ways to play

  • Practice Stages — from gentle stages that explain the rules through to demanding high-difficulty ones
  • Ten-Round Match — choose a difficulty and a kanji range, and ten stages are drawn at random. Clear them in order for a different run every time
