THE MATCH
A minute on the clock, two halves in cup play. A diamond on each side: keeper, stopper, two wide forwards, and you in the middle. Passes go to the teammate your stick points at; hold for a lob. Hold shoot and time drops to a crawl while you place it inside the post. Slide tackles win the ball when they touch it, not before. The dash knocks people over. Keepers are rated, and a 58 spills what an 81 holds.

THE TRICKS
One SKILL button is the elastico. Tap a second button inside the window and it cancels into a Roulette, a Hocus Pocus, a Rainbow over your own head, or a Rabona at goal. Beat your man and the stadium slows down to watch.

THE SEASON
Pick a nation. Any of 195. Qualifying groups, a continental cup, a 48-team World Cup in the real twelve-group format, friendlies in between. A live world ranking that rises and falls with every result and seeds the next draw. Squads that grow: players age, retire, break through from the national pool. Practice is a dice roll per rep, scrimmages are matches you play, and the penalty shootout is yours to take. Three save slots. No transfer market, no relegation. Just your ranking and the silverware.
