Stack it high. Pray it holds. Burgero is a burger-stacking roguelike where every layer reacts to the ones it touches. Taller burgers score bigger, but each layer adds wobble, and one layer too many brings the whole tower down.

About This Game

Burgero is a roguelike score attack about building burgers, where the order of the layers is the whole game.

Customers step up to the counter with an appetite to beat. Draw ingredients from your pantry, stack them on the bun one by one, and serve. When the top bun lands, the burger scores from the bottom up: every layer adds its Flavor and Mult and reacts to the layers it touches. Cheddar melts onto a hot patty, onion rings want a patty next to them, and jalapeños only get angry once the tower starts to shake.

  • Order matters. The same ingredients in a different order make a different burger, and a very different score.

  • Push your luck. Every layer adds Wobble, and the higher you go, the more it shakes. A shaky burger can collapse when you serve it, and you always see the risk before you do.

  • Fall, but not to zero. When a tower collapses, the layers that fall are lost, and everything below the break still scores.

Three shifts, one kitchen

A run is three shifts, and every shift ends with a VIP who changes the rules. The Food Critic only cares about your single best burger. The Health Inspector won't accept more than six layers. The Drunk Regular makes every burger wobble before you've added a thing.

Between customers, the market sells gadgets that bend the scoring, crates of new ingredients for your pantry, and a bin for the ones you'd rather not draw again.

  • Gadgets like the Heat Lamp, the Grill Master and the Skyscraper Sign boost every burger, left to right, so where you put them matters too.

  • Shape your pantry. Add new ingredients, throw out the ones you don't want, and build towards the combos you like.

  • Recipes to chase, from a sad Bread Thing to a ten-layer Tower.

A late-night burger joint

Chunky pixel art, sizzling patties, steam rising under a pendant lamp, and a hungry customer watching your tower sway. Scoring plays out as a cascade of numbers climbing up the burger, and the sound is the kitchen itself: the spatula, the sizzle, the order bell.

Your run saves after every move: stop any time and pick it up later.
