Build with cards, detonate with melds

There's no button to buy a finished tower in MELDCORE. You slot three cards into an empty tower and complete it yourself: consecutive numbers make a run, matching numbers make a set. Link four of those towers to the core, and the better your melds fit together, the harder everything fires at once.

Core Link

Connect four complete towers to the core, slot a pair of matching cards into the core, and you can trigger a Core Link. When the linked towers' melds form certain patterns, firepower multiplies and the towers transform for the duration. Which pattern to chase, and whether to fire now or build for one more wave, is the question at every turn.

Hand management

Your hand has a limit. Discard what you don't need, pay gold to draw more, and recover cards from towers that have done their job. Even when the card you want won't come, every discard builds up pity, so your meld gets there in the end.

Barriers that shape the path

Enemies don't just follow a fixed road. Raise barriers to lengthen their route and hold them inside tower range. In later stages, enemies arrive from several directions at once and new rules kick in: the board erodes, and links get cut.
