404: Out of Balance is a space roguelite bullet heaven where twelve familiar RPG classes have become combat spaceships, weapons fire automatically, and every new upgrade pushes the game further beyond anything the developer intended.

Fly, dodge, destroy hordes of enemies, and collect salvage. Survive twenty waves, assemble ridiculous combinations of weapons and passive items, and find out just how badly you can break a system that was barely holding together in the first place.

The Fighter, Barbarian, Bard, Druid, and eight other familiar RPG archetypes have traded their usual equipment for combat spaceships.

Each class comes with its own advantages, limitations, starting weapon, and playstyle. Some rely on brute force, others on sheer survivability, and some are just trying to convince the enemy that this is all part of the performance.

Choose a ship that fits your playstyle. Or a playstyle that fits your ship's limitations.

Buy weapons, collect passive items, level up, and combine effects.

Boost your physical damage, eat through enemies with corrosion, overheat them until they explode, or try all three at once. Turn small bonuses into devastating chain reactions and experiment with combinations the balance department would rather not know about.

The shop might offer you serious military hardware, questionable software, household junk, or possibly a cucumber.

If it fits inside your spaceship, it's probably an upgrade.

Dodge barrages of projectiles, survive boss encounters, upgrade your arsenal between battles, and gradually transform your spaceship into a flying violation of every known safety regulation.
