About This Demo

The free demo of Magical Girl. Go to class, talk with classmates and join the first weeks' school events by day; after school, transform and step into the city's other side.
The demo covers the opening chapter and school life from September 1 through September 18 in the game.

The first two weeks of school

Classes, lunch, hallway chatter. The welcome night on September 3, the club fair, the Pack the Gym basketball night on September 15. Go or don't: the game only remembers what you actually did.




The park, the waterfront and Main Street on September evenings.

Three styles to start with

Fire, ice and lightning as the Elemental Mage, the Rage Hammer as the Berserker, lashes and dance steps with the Magic Ribbon. Spend Enhancement Points in your Magic Book to learn moves and switch styles.

The city at night

Chain ground combos into aerial follow-ups, and feel the weight of every dodge and guard. Read enemy warnings, land a Perfect Guard and punish with a counter. Fill your Bloom gauge and unleash an ultimate.
The demo opens four regions, the Botanical Garden, the rooftops, the forest and the winter district, each with its own enemies and bosses. Find the first three forbidden books along the way and equip charms to change how you fight.


The Rose Archmage of the forest is in a very good mood today.

On basketball night, September 15, something is wrong with the ball.

Halloween Gift

Open HALLOWEEN GIFT on the title screen, visit the Magical Girl store page on Steam (and add it to your wishlist if you like what you see), then come back to claim the protagonist's Halloween Witch outfit. Wear it any time from the Wardrobe.
Clear the demo (collect three forbidden books, or reach September 18) to unlock two more outfits: Berserker Mastery and Elemental Mage Mastery. Outfits change her look only, never how she fights.

The full game expands the adventure with more fighting styles, regions and later school activities.

Keyboard controls

Everyday exploration: A / D or Left / Right to move, Shift to run, J or Space for scene actions, F to interact and M to open your phone. Follow the on-screen prompts for specific interactions.
Combat: Space to jump, Shift to dodge, J to attack, K to guard, L for ranged attacks, I for a special move and O for your ultimate. Tab opens the Magic Book.
General: T to transform, Esc to pause or go back, and F11 to toggle fullscreen.
