Find your first gold

Stake your claim, pitch your tent and sample the ground. Clear trees, uncover paydirt and carry it to the wash. Pan, collect and sell your gold, then choose what to improve next. A promising patch is only the beginning: depth, access and preparation all matter.

Make every upgrade count

Start with a spade and bucket. Move more with a wheelbarrow, improve your washing and build a camp for your first paid helper. Assign complementary jobs so one worker keeps the dirt moving while another washes it.



Grow into excavators, haulage and a connected washplant. Lay out roads and equipment, bring in water and power, and keep fuel in reserve. Hoppers, conveyors, a trommel and sluices need to work together. The next machine should solve a problem you can see.

Run the claim your way

Choose where to work and where to reinvest. Deposits run out. Wages, diesel and maintenance keep running. Survey before you commit, plan the next cut and keep digging, carrying and washing in balance.
