Transmedia Bible Study

We firmly believe that a person should be studying the Bible with other believers (Acts 2:42 & Hebrews 10:25). When a person commits his or her self to Jesus Christ, he or she is made a member of the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:27). All members of a spiritual body need to unit to have a church function properly (1 Corinthians 12:14–20).

This video game Bible study is coupled with a physical workbook and at-church resource materials in order to extend the study to address more topics, but also to activate in-person, at-church attendance.

To experience the entire study means doing all three parts of the study:

Video Game + Physical Workbook + In-Church Activities

Your host church should provide you with any additional learning materials at the start of the Bible Study.

(FYI: Transmedia = story told over at least three media platforms with NEW content, not repurposed).

Study Breakdown

This video game Bible study is built around a 10 or 11 Week group study experience with each chapter in the game played individually and a user coming back to the church group to share notes and complete in-person activities.

Why a Video Game Bible Study?

The primary learner styles used in the majority of Bible studies are Reading/Writing followed by Auditory engagement (often videos or in the form of group sharing). Visuals that add insights are rare. Kinesthetic learning is the rarest to find for older learners.

A visual novel video game offers a user a four-fold cross-modal neural response, thus engaging the human brain across Reading, Auditory, Kinesthetic and Visual memory thresholds. This in turn allows for greater odds of memory retention and the ability to act on the information later.

“Bizarre is best. Distinctiveness matters. If something is unique and it stands out, you tend to remember it better and you may reflect on it more.” Margaret O’Connor, Associate Professor of Neurology at Mass General Brigham (Dec 3, 2025, The Harvard Gazette)
