Breakremental is a brick breaker incremental game. Break bricks, get coins, buy upgrades, add more balls and watch everything slowly get out of control. There are bosses too, because apparently breaking normal bricks wasn't enough.

About This Game

Breakremental started with a pretty simple idea.

What if you take a normal brick breaker game, add upgrades, more balls, bigger numbers, bosses and a bunch of other stupid stuff?

So that's basically what we made.

You start with a ball and a paddle, break some bricks, earn coins and buy upgrades. More damage, faster balls, crits, more balls, better rewards, you know how these things work.

At first it still looks like a fairly normal brick breaker.

It doesn't stay that way for very long.

BREAK BRICKS

This part is pretty self explanatory.

Hit bricks with balls until the bricks stop existing.

As you progress they get more health, levels get harder and things start getting a bit more chaotic.

BUY UPGRADES

Spend the coins you earn on upgrades like:

  • Ball Damage

  • Ball Speed

  • More Balls

  • Crit Chance

  • Crit Damage

  • Brick Value

Keep upgrading them and eventually a tiny ball bouncing around the screen turns into complete nonsense.

Which is kind of the point.

BOSSES

Every now and then you'll run into something slightly bigger than a brick.

Bosses have a lot more health and you'll need to throw everything you've built at them.

Beat them and keep going.

Simple.

Probably.

LOTS OF BALLS

One ball is fine.

Two is better.

Ten starts getting interesting.

After that I'm not really sure what's happening anymore.

WHAT'S IN THE DEMO?

The demo lets you play through the first 30 levels of Breakremental, from your first lonely ball all the way to the Level 30 boss.

You can buy upgrades, unlock more balls, increase your damage, build up crits and generally make the screen more and more ridiculous as you progress.

The demo includes:

  • 30 levels

  • Boss fights

  • The six main upgrades

  • Auto Paddle

  • Talents and Ball Split

  • Random level layouts

  • Gold Bricks

  • Stats and run tracking

  • Lots of balls

  • Probably too many explosions

Level 30 is the end of the demo.

You'll also get a look at some of the progression systems that continue beyond the demo, including Prestige, but you won't be able to Prestige during the demo.

WHAT TO EXPECT IN THE FULL GAME?

The demo is only the beginning of Breakremental.

Some of the things I'm currently planning for the full game include:

  • More levels

  • More bosses

  • More upgrades

  • More talents and unlocks

  • Full Prestige progression

  • Permanent upgrades between runs

  • More automation

  • More level variations

  • More ridiculous late game scaling

  • Achievements

  • More stuff to discover as you progress

Some of that is still being built, and things will probably change while I keep working on the game.

I'd rather say that than pretend I already know exactly what Level 847 is going to look like.

SO, YEAH...

Break bricks.

Get coins.

Buy upgrades.

Get more balls.

Break more bricks.

Repeat until your screen is full of balls and you have no idea what's going on anymore.
