About This Game

Every sky has an echo.

Hibiki Otonashi tunes the last bell of his grandfather's carillon, and the note never stops. It drags him through a stained-glass window floating in the dark and out into skies that are slowly being forgotten. At his side is Gonta: a chatty, cowardly and very loud bell who has no idea he is the memory of someone Hibiki loved.

Real-time action, built on music

  • Fast, airborne combat with a command menu, combos, finishers, perfect guards, dodges and aerial chases.
  • Reaction commands: press one button at the right moment and a fight turns into a set piece.
  • Musical forms, summons and team attacks: fight with two tuning forks, glide on four, call a Paper Samurai or a Smoke Whale, and ring the Double Chime with Gonta.
  • Quaver Barrage: lock on to a whole swarm and let every note fly at once.
  • Staccato, Resonance and Harmony magic, each with three grades.
  • Your tuning fork transforms mid-combo into a bow, an organ or a drum kit.

Thirteen skies, each with its own song

Rusted pirates and a naval battle. A Halloween town where Gonta becomes a pumpkin-bell. A toy box with a city-sized metronome to climb. A frozen mountain you race down singing on an ice rail. A kaiju city and a giant mecha-bell. A Greek-Japanese underworld. A musical sea where Hibiki gets a mermaid tail. A black-and-white ink studio, a pixel world, an unfinished storybook, a lantern festival and a music box.
Every sky gives Hibiki and Gonta a new look, and has its own guest, neighbourhoods, secrets and boss.

Moments you won't forget

  • The Battle of the Thousand Forgotten: one thousand enemies, one tuning fork.
  • Run up the outside of the Clock Tower chasing a hooded stranger.
  • The Bronze Colossus: the bell tower that learned to walk.
  • Free flight above the clouds against the Organ of the End.
  • The Nameless Orchestra: thirteen hooded musicians and thirteen names to remember.
  • A rival with your face, waiting for you on the Bell-Moon.

And much more

  • The Theater of Memories: rewatch every cutscene, with optional commentary by Hibiki and Gonta.
  • Synthesis, charms, pets, trophies, a journal, a card cup and a coliseum.
  • Three playable protagonists, a secret ending, a harder difficulty and an Encore mode.
