FIVEFOLD is a turn-based party-building roguelite focused on building and developing a party of five.

With no exploration or traditional level grinding, the game focuses on combining jobs, skills, sub jobs, and formations to build your party and overcome enemies with distinct strengths and mechanics.

Build a Party of Five

Choose five characters from jobs with distinct roles and build your party.

Focus on offense, strengthen your defenses, make use of status effects, or prepare counters to specific attacks. Your approach to battle can change dramatically depending on how you build your party.

Front- and back-row positioning also affects combat. Consider skill range and enemy attacks, as well as interactions between allies positioned in front of and behind one another, to create a formation that suits each character's role.

Choose Skills and Shape Your Build

Spend limited SP to learn and upgrade skills for each of your five characters.

You cannot learn every skill. Rather than building each character in isolation, you will need to consider the roles and synergies of the party as a whole.

During a Run, you may obtain Guild Cards that allow characters to take on another job as a Sub Job.

The cards available will not always be the same. Make use of the options you find during each Run to create new combinations.

Turn-Based Battles Against Distinct Enemies

Different enemies have different attacks and mechanics.

Physical and elemental attacks, status effects, formation disruption, and more require different responses. Learn what your enemies can do, then adapt your party, skills, and formation accordingly.

Combat effects and status conditions are built around simple rules, with the emphasis on how you combine and use them.

Progress Through Choices, Not Exploration

There are no sprawling dungeons to navigate.

Instead, strengthen your party through a series of choices involving battles, treasure chests, shops, and more, gradually shaping your build over the course of each Run.

FIVEFOLD is an RPG focused on the repeated cycle of building parties, developing skill sets, and engaging in turn-based battles rather than exploration or material gathering.
