What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“GLOBUS is already fully playable, but we want to continue improving and expanding the game together with the community.
Geography offers a huge amount of possible content and many different ways to learn and play. Early Access gives us the opportunity to gather feedback on the existing quiz modes, difficulty, user interface, performance and overall gameplay while continuing to add new content and polish existing features.
Player feedback will help us determine which areas of the game should receive the most attention before the full release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect GLOBUS to remain in Early Access for approximately 6 to 12 months.
This may change depending on player feedback and the scope of features added during development. Our priority is to reach a level of content, stability and polish that we are satisfied with rather than commit to a fixed release date too early.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of GLOBUS is planned to expand and refine the experience available in Early Access rather than completely change its core gameplay.
During Early Access we plan to:
- expand and improve geography content across countries, capitals, landmarks, mountains, rivers, seas and other categories,
- continue improving TYPE, SELECT, GUESS and HINT gameplay,
- expand progression, statistics and achievements,
- improve the Explore mode and educational information,
- add additional customization and gameplay options,
- improve accessibility and keyboard/controller-friendly navigation,
- further optimize performance across a wider range of hardware,
- improve translations and localization,
- refine visual effects, audio, animations and overall user interface,
- fix bugs and balance gameplay based on community feedback.
The full release is intended to provide a more polished, stable and content-rich version of the same core geography experience.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of GLOBUS is already fully playable and includes the core gameplay experience.
Players can currently explore the globe and play multiple quiz categories including countries, capitals, flags, landmarks, mountains, rivers, seas and oceans, as well as U.S. states and capitals.
The game already includes TYPE, SELECT, GUESS and HINT interaction modes, regional selection, customizable map appearance, statistics, player progress, achievements, time limits, Explore mode and a wide range of gameplay settings.
During Early Access, we are focusing on improving stability, performance, user interface, localization, balancing and overall polish while also expanding the available content and features.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price may increase when GLOBUS leaves Early Access as the game receives additional content, features and polish.
Any pricing changes will be communicated in advance. We want the Early Access price to reflect the current state of the game while giving early players the opportunity to support its continued development.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback will play an important role throughout the Early Access period.
We plan to actively collect feedback about quiz difficulty, game modes, geography content, user interface, performance, accessibility and requested features.
Player reports will also help us identify incorrect geographic data, missing content, localization issues and technical problems across different hardware configurations.
Feedback from Steam Discussions and player reviews will be considered when prioritizing updates and deciding which features should be improved or expanded before the full release.
We want GLOBUS to grow into a geography game that is enjoyable both for casual players and for people who want a deeper challenge.”

About This Game

GLOBUS is an interactive geography quiz built around a fully explorable 3D globe.

Test your knowledge of the world by identifying countries, capitals, flags, landmarks, mountains, rivers, seas and oceans. Learn through several different game modes, explore the planet freely, and improve your geography knowledge one round at a time.

MULTIPLE WAYS TO PLAY

Choose the way you want to challenge yourself:

  • TYPE – type the correct answer

  • SELECT – find and select the correct location directly on the globe

  • GUESS – use distance feedback to track down the correct location

  • HINT – reveal progressively more clues after incorrect attempts

Each mode changes the way you interact with the map and can be combined with different geography categories.

EXPLORE THE WORLD

Switch to Explore Mode and freely navigate the globe without the pressure of a quiz.

Discover countries and geographic objects, inspect their locations and learn more about the world at your own pace.

MORE THAN JUST COUNTRIES

GLOBUS includes quizzes for:

  • Countries

  • Capitals

  • Flags

  • Landmarks

  • Mountains

  • Rivers

  • Seas & Oceans

  • U.S. States & Capitals

Select individual regions or combine them to create the difficulty and scope you want.

LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES

Wrong answers are part of the game.

Use progressive hints, visual feedback and map highlighting to understand where your answer was and where the correct location is. GLOBUS is designed to work both as a challenging quiz and as a tool for improving your geographic knowledge.

YOUR GLOBE, YOUR WAY

Customize the experience with a wide range of settings, including:

  • 3D globe and map appearance

  • Political borders and geographic grid

  • Color profiles

  • Quiz regions and categories

  • Time limits

  • Auto Focus and Auto Enter

  • Visual and gameplay options

Whether you want a clean satellite-style globe or a more traditional geography map, you can adjust the presentation to your preference.

TRACK YOUR PROGRESS

Complete rounds, improve your scores and work towards better results across different game categories and interaction modes.

From learning the countries of Europe to identifying rivers, landmarks or capitals around the entire planet, GLOBUS lets you explore geography your way.

How well do you really know the world?
