Pourquoi choisir l'accès anticipé ?

« Cryptward is an online game, and an online game only grows well with players in it. We want the community in the crypt early: to tell us what is fun, what is too hard, which vocation needs work and where the servers struggle. Early Access lets us launch the game for free, keep every character from the first day and build the rest of it together with the people who play. »

Pendant combien de temps environ ce jeu sera-t-il en accès anticipé ?

« We expect Cryptward to stay in Early Access for about a year. The date depends on what players tell us and on how much content the full version needs; we will post every update on the Steam page. »

En quoi la version finale sera-t-elle différente de la version en accès anticipé ?

« Early Access opens with content for levels 1 to 30. The full version is planned to add:
- New crypt floors, creatures and bosses, up to level 50 and beyond.
- More spells and gear for the four vocations.
- More town, quests and NPCs.
- Balance and quality-of-life changes from player feedback.
- macOS and Linux versions, after Windows.
Characters are kept: there is no planned wipe when the game leaves Early Access. »

« Cryptward is fully playable online. You can make a character in one of four vocations (warrior, archer, mage, druid), walk the town and the tavern with other players, form a party and go down a crypt with floors generated on every run, with creatures, loot and a boss at the top. Content covers levels 1 to 30. Expect rough edges, balance changes and the odd bug: tell us about them. »

Le prix du jeu sera-t-il différent pendant et après l'accès anticipé ?

« Cryptward is free to play during Early Access and will stay free to play after it. The optional premium gives no advantage in combat: only cosmetics, convenience and a badge. Hunts, spells and experience are the same for everyone. »

Comment comptez-vous impliquer la communauté dans le processus de développement ?

« Players shape the game directly: through the Steam forums, our Discord and in-game reports, they tell us which vocations, creatures and floors need work, and we post regular updates with what changed. Balance, new content and priorities follow what the community asks for. »

À propos de ce jeu

Cryptward is an online first-person dungeon RPG set in a voxel world built block by block. Make a character, pick a vocation and go down into the crypts, alone or in a party, for experience, loot and ever more dangerous creatures.

Four vocations

  • Warrior — the front line. Takes the blows, holds the monsters and protects the party with sword, axe and shield.
  • Archer — the marksman. Deals damage from afar with the bow, controls the field with traps and backs away when danger gets close.
  • Mage — the magic damage. Little health, lots of mana and the strongest spells to clear whole rooms.
  • Druid — the healer. Keeps the party standing with the best heals in the game and holds enemies with the force of nature.

Skills

Besides the level, every character has five skills that only improve with use: the more you use them, the stronger you get.

  • Magic level — rises with the mana spent on spells and heals.
  • Light weapons — swords and one-handed weapons.
  • Heavy weapons — axes and two-handed weapons.
  • Distance — the bow.
  • Shielding — every blow blocked with the shield.

Each vocation trains some skills faster than others, and every point raises damage, healing or defense.

An online world

Meet other players in town, form a party and go down together. Sell the loot you don't need and trade items with other players to gear up for the next run.

A new crypt every run

Floors are generated on the fly, with their own rooms, corridors, creatures and loot. Every floor raises the risk and the reward.
