Why Early Access?

“Endless Survival World is a large online game run by a solo developer. Every core system is in and playable: survival, building, crafting, taming, guilds. Early Access lets players into the world now, while the remaining features are added and the balance is tuned with real players on a live server rather than guesswork.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Around 6 to 12 months, maybe a little longer since this is a solo developer project. The game will leave Early Access when the class and spell system is complete and the world, economy and combat balance have been settled by live play.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version adds:

Classes and spells: class scrolls found through world bosses and server events, each class with its own skills and play style.
World bosses, plus more animals and monsters across every biome.
Farming: more seeds and crops.
Visuals and menus: an upgraded interface, new artwork, and fence tiers for every base level.
Ongoing balancing of tools, gear, weapons, taming and the economy.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is fully playable online:

A 20,000 × 20,000 tile world with six biomes, caves and canyons hunger, thirst and temperature
Real-time day and night, weather, and server-wide world events
Eight base tiers with interiors
Tools, crafting stations and blueprints found in chests
Weapons including guns, bows, spears and dynamite
Taming and riding, fishing and farming
Guilds, teams and a friends list
An Auction House, proximity voice chat, achievements and World Firsts

Expect balance changes and occasional bugs while the game is developed.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No. The game is free to play during Early Access and will remain free to play after release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Feedback and bug reports: through the website forums and support tickets on our website.
Patch notes: Posted on Steam and on the website Update List.
Priorities: Player feedback directly shapes which features and balance changes come next, and server events and tuning are adjusted based on how the community plays.”
