About This Game

Back in the '80s and '90s, point-and-click adventures were at their peak. That era came to an end, but not everyone took it well.

Chester Sonoma is one of those people. While the rest of the world moved on, he decided that denying reality was a perfectly reasonable option.

Now his best friend has disappeared, a powerful corporation seems to be involved, and Chester will have to do something about it. The problem is, he has absolutely no idea what.

After the Golden Age is a classic-style point-and-click adventure made for those who still remember a time when carrying twenty ridiculous objects in your pockets and trying every single one of them on everything was a perfectly valid strategy.

Classic point-and-click gameplay

Take control of Chester using your mouse, just like in the adventure games of the '90s. Explore locations, examine objects, talk to characters, and use your inventory to solve puzzles and progress through the story.

The four-verb interface lets you interact with the world in a simple and intuitive way. There are no combat sequences or challenges requiring quick reflexes: observation, investigation, and a bit of thinking are what matter here.

Featuring low-resolution pixel art graphics and a healthy dose of humor, After the Golden Age brings back the spirit of classic adventure games.

There are no dead ends or situations that make the game impossible to complete. And if you get stuck, an integrated hint system will help you find your way forward.

The golden age is over. Chester just didn't get the memo.
