About This Game

In You're Hired!, I will begin the exciting journey of finding a job, getting rejected, and finding another job! However, they didn't call me back, so I'll apply for another job! I mean 30 jobs... This time I got an interview, so now its for sure! Now I'll spend the money to travel there, rent a suit, pay for study material, and ... I didn't get it. Maybe I should try an easier entry-level job? Ten years of experience for that pay and I need to pay for the training? Are you kidding me?! You need a master's degree to be a librarian? Fast food? No slots available. Dish washer? They already have a machine. Janitor? I haven't completed a workplace safety certification.

Why is this so complicated?!

If I were the recruiter, I would do things the right way!

Luckily you stumble upon that exact opportunity!

Pack your bags because you are going to Himawari Town as the local recruiter! The mayor has posted a position to help rebuild the economy of an abandoned town. There will be many challenges, but if you play your cards right, you might be able to achieve your goal of an early retirement. Or possibly go bankrupt in the process...

  • Recruiting Process: The main focus of the game is recruiting people to generate income and help manage the town finances. Players will begin with connections to smaller companies. As your reputation grows, you will gain new contracts with bigger rewards and potentially bigger consequences. The goal is to find the best candidates for each job. Hiring the best candidates quickly can result in better pay and an improved reputation. On the other hand, hiring unqualified personnel or intentionally malicious applicants may cost you more than just money! There are some crazy people out there.

  • Town Restoration: Part of your new recruiting contract is to restore Himawari Town. The population began to decline over the years as businesses left for more profitable locations and with them went the residents that needed jobs. The mayor has hired you to help restore this old town to its former glory. Each building restored will have an impact on the town's economy as well as player abilities, tools, and story.

  • Crime Fighting: Unfortunately, the decline of the town has made it a breeding ground for criminal activity. High crime rates make potential residents and businesses reconsider relocating to the town. Criminals don't just impact buildings and businesses. They can have a direct impact on the player as well! If you are not careful, you may even find yourself in a fight.

  • Conspiracies: Crime is not the only activity plaguing Himawari Town. Strange events and unusual activity seems to be drawn to the area, attracting the attention of more than just the townspeople.

Features:

  • Become an expert recruiter! Learn to identify unqualified or malicious applicants during the hiring process. Beware of fraudulent job posts from actors impersonating legitimate companies. Negotiate salaries to balance applicant expectations, company needs, time constraints, and your own income.

  • Rebuild an abandoned town. Your choices matter when it comes to rebuilding the town. Buildings can be used to generate more income, attract residents, lower crime rates, and provide players with new tools.

  • Pay taxes. Even more enjoyable than usual! Really, this is probably the best feature of the game.

  • Retire early! Nobody wants to be stuck in the rat race their whole life! You want that sweet freedom to decide where life takes you. Travel the world? Start your own business? Pick up woodworking and finally make that project you've been talking about for 15 years? No problem! You just need to start a job you've never done before and make enough money to accomplish all your life goals!
