Join the voice chat, even when you can't talk

Type2Voice turns what you type into speech and sends it straight to your voice chat as microphone input.
Late at night, with family nearby, or when you just don't want to use your mic, you can still be part of the conversation.

Features

• Input box anywhere - Press a hotkey to bring up the input box, even in-game. Type, hit Enter, and it's spoken instantly. Switch between a compact bar at the bottom of the screen and a full layout with all your pads.
  
• One-click pads - Put up to 26 go-to phrases like "Roger!", "Thanks!" or "Nice!" around the input box and play them with a click (the first 10 also with Ctrl+number).
  
• Shortcut playback - Play a saved phrase with a single key combo, without opening the input box.
  
• Templates - Type a short keyword like "/gg" and it's expanded to "Good game!".
  
• Audio file playback - Attach a wav, mp3 or other audio file to a saved phrase and play it instead of speech.
  
• User dictionary - Set how names and abbreviations are read aloud.
  
• Input history - Press the Up arrow to recall what you said before.
  
• Say it again - Asked to repeat? Press a hotkey to say your last message again.
  
• Profiles - Switch voice, speed, pads and shortcuts per game in one go.
  
• Live volume and speed control - Mouse wheel for volume, Shift + wheel for speed.

Voices

• Kokoro (English, bundled) - Natural English voices. Works offline.
  
• Windows built-in voices - Use the voices already installed on Windows.
  
• Gemini TTS - Natural speech from Google, with style directions such as "cheerful" or "whispering" (requires your own Google API key).
  
• ElevenLabs - Expressive Eleven v4 voices (requires your own ElevenLabs API key).
  
• External engines - Also connects to VOICEVOX-compatible engines such as AivisSpeech, and to Irodori-TTS (GPU required). These must be installed separately.

How it reaches your voice chat

Type2Voice uses the virtual audio device "VB-CABLE" to deliver the synthesized voice as microphone input. VB-CABLE is bundled and can be installed from within the app.
Works with Discord and any voice chat or game that lets you choose a microphone.
Please turn off noise suppression (Krisp, etc.), echo cancellation and automatic gain control in your voice chat. They may treat the synthesized voice as noise and cut it off. The app includes a step-by-step setup guide.

Notes

• Gemini TTS and ElevenLabs require your own API keys. Each service may charge you depending on usage.
  
• Using this software to impersonate, defraud or harass others is prohibited.

Some store page artwork, the voices in the trailers and the sample phrases included with the app were created with the help of AI tools.
While you use the app, the text you type is converted into speech by AI speech synthesis: VOICEVOX and Kokoro running on your PC, Windows built-in voices, cloud services you choose to use with your own API key (Google Gemini TTS, ElevenLabs), or speech engines you install and run yourself (VOICEVOX-compatible engines, Irodori-TTS). The app never writes text on its own; it only reads aloud what you type.
