About This Game

Overview

Bloody Bridge is a 2D turn-based RPG. Players will create a character and defend their fortress against waves of enemies (one by one -- it's a narrow bridge!). Acquire loot from defeated enemies, buy and sell equipment from various traders in the town hub, receive new abilities from trainers, and craft custom spells at the Mage Tower -- you know, all that good RPG stuff!

About Development

Bloody Bridge has been in development for over a year and gone through countless iterations. The full game version includes all systems and features, as detailed below.

Combat

Players will be able to fight their way to level 25. They will encounter a variety of enemies, each possessing their own strengths, weaknesses, and abilities. Players will receive (and be able to craft) a wide range of spells and abilities to aid them in their fights. Caution - whilst cartoonish & unrealistic, depictions of death in Bloody Bridge often include dismemberment, decapitation, and a lot of blood!

Items / Loot

There are a huge number of items in the demo. Items, whether looted from defeated enemies or purchased from vendors, are often randomized according to their prefix and / or suffix assignation. This system provides a wide range of attributes, stats, and appearances that Players can refer to when customizing their character's loadout. Players can expect to obtain a variety of Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and even Legendary items.

Spellcrafting

Spellcrafting is a system in which Players can create and customize totally unique spells to assist them in combat. Players can adjust damage, range, and multiplier values, add spell effects (i.e., damage over time), name and customize their spell description, and even select the visual effect for their spell (i.e., a scorching fireball, a crackling lightning blast, etc.). Players can craft offensive spells of multiple damage-types (i.e., fire, frost, arcane, and chaos), each of which possess their own unique effects. 

Trading

Whilst in town, Players can trade at a number of stores: the Blacksmith, General Store, Mage Tower, and the Inn. Each store / vendor possesses unique items. When trading, Players can purchase items from the vendor and sell any unwanted items from their inventory. 

Character Customization

When starting a new game, Players will be able to create and customize their character. Players can select from a range of visual features, adjust their character's skin, eye, and hair tone, and set their character's starting attributes.
