About This Game

PROJECT R1 puts you inside a virtual robotics workshop. Work through the engineering process from a part's first sketch to a programmed mechanism in motion.

Design and print

Create part profiles, adjust dimensions, extrude shapes and cut holes in the in-game CAD workspace. Print your designs into your workshop inventory and use them in your assemblies.

Assemble and wire

Arrange stock components and printed parts, connect supported mechanical interfaces and wire your controller and actuator. Save your projects and return to improve them.

Program your creation

Write C++ firmware, build it and flash a virtual R1 controller. Experiment with input, control signals and contact feedback as you connect software decisions to physical behavior.

Test and refine

Run supported mechanisms in a physics simulation. Pause, step and reset your tests to investigate how your design and program behave, then return to the workspaces to make changes.
