About This Game

We are a group of French students, and we are delighted to present our first game:

In Greed For Glory, your aim is to become the richest player. Over the course of 8 rounds, you’ll travel across the map in search of riches and compete against the other players to steal their wealth. Various events will occur that could change the course of the game. Plan your four actions during the preparation phase, then discover how they play out during the action phase. Hopefully, your plan will be a success.

The game supports up to 4 players, with the option to play in local or online multiplayer mode. If there aren’t 4 players, the missing players will be controlled by AI.

The first phase of the game is the preparation phase: this is where you plan each round.

You have 4 action points which you can use to carry out actions during the round. Using the controller, you can enter your inputs for your actions. Please note that these are kept secret during this phase and will only be carried out during the action phase. The banners on the left-hand side of the screen show the order in which each player will take their turn during this second phase.

In this phase, your actions are executed in the order announced at the start of the preparation phase. Some actions may require the player who performed them to take further action.

It is possible that an action you had planned may not be possible because other players had previously acted in a way that disrupted your plans.

About actions:

Movement :

Firstly, you can travel on the game board. Each movement allows you to move one tile in the direction chosen during the preparation phase.

Pickup :

If you have managed to move onto a tile containing Golds, the currency of Greed for Glory, you can use an action to collect them. This action allows you to collect all the Golds on your tile.

Greed :

If there are no Golds around you, don’t panic! You can always search the area around you using the Greed action and make Golds appear on a tile near yours.

Punch :

However, you’re not alone on the board! Your opponents, eager to see you go broke, might decide to throw a wrench in the works. To stop them from getting in your way, you could, for example, decide to punch them if they’re on the same tile as you. That way, you’ll have the chance to steal some Golds from them and push them back onto an adjacent tile.

Shoot :

If your opponent is already on an adjacent square, you can choose to shoot at them instead. Perhaps in the panic, they’ll lose some money?

Parry :

Be careful, though, as it is possible to protect oneself from a shot by raising one’s shield! Parrying a shot sends the projectile back at the attacker and stuns them for one turn.

About events:

The board also has plenty of surprises in store for you. During the game, certain events that directly affect you will occur. Stay alert, as you can use each of them to your advantage!
