Hurling with the swing in your hands. Load the stick, drive through the ball, and take whatever strike the defender leaves you: a full swing with time, a jabbed snap under pressure. Fifteen a side, fast and readable. Then let the video review decide whether it was a point.

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The match is real and the swing works; the season around it is not built yet. I would rather hurling people play the striking and the contest now and tell me where it is wrong than finish a career mode around a match nobody has argued with. The game is playable today from throw-in to final whistle, and development continues every week.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Around six to nine months. The honest variable is the striking: if players show it needs more work, that comes before everything else and the date moves with it.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to build outward from the match: a restart you can read at a glance, a season you would trust with a year of your club, a management and dressing-room layer, and more animation on the strike and the contest. These are plans, not promises — buy the game for the fifteen-a-side match that is in the build today.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The menu opens on a fifteen-a-side match against the AI. A seven-a-side is there when you want a short game, and Practice is there for the drills. The full right-stick striking system, puck-out contests, a video review of every shot at the posts, a half-time shot board drawn from your own match, match officials on the pitch, and 56 teams with first and change kits. Single-player, controller first, Windows. Career is on the menu and labelled experimental; it is not the mode this page is selling. There is no multiplayer.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. We plan to raise the price when the game leaves Early Access and the season and management layers are in.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Through the Steam discussions and regular update notes that say what changed and why. The game is playtested on a pad every week, by hurlers and by people who have never held a hurley; what players report about the strike and the contest sets the order of work.”

About This Game

YOU NEVER GET THE SWING YOU WANT.

Last Chance Hurling is built around the one thing every hurler knows: the strike you get is the strike the defender allows. With space, load the stick and drive — it goes long and it goes where you aimed. With a back on your shoulder you get a short, snapped, hurried thing that trades distance for getting it away at all. Same stick, same input, completely different ball.

THE SWING IS ON THE STICK

Pull back to load, drive through to strike. How far you loaded and which way your body was facing decide where it goes — with the run, across your body, or turning back into trouble. There is no power button.

LET THE REVIEW DECIDE

Every shot that reaches the posts is replayed in slow motion, the flight drawn as a line on the pitch, and adjudicated on the ticker: how far inside the post, how far over the bar, how far out you struck it. The replay uses the same rule the match scored with — it can tell you that you deserved it, and it can tell you that you did not.

FIFTEEN A SIDE

Full teams, jerseys 1 to 15, every man with a position and a job. Backs mark their man goal-side, midfield contests the puckout, the inside forwards hold for the break. 56 teams, each with a first and a change kit. A seven-a-side match is there when you want a short one.

HALF TIME IS A COACH'S TABLE

Stop at the break and look at your own match: every shot drawn as an arc from where it was struck to the point it crossed the posts, a shooting grid by distance and by side, and the pitch coloured by the territory you actually owned. Your match, not a stock graphic.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Some player body meshes were produced with a 3D generation tool and then retargeted, rigged, and edited by hand. Selected store or marketing images may use AI-assisted generation or cleanup. Match rules, animation direction, audio direction, and written design are human-authored. No images, audio, text, or code are generated by AI while you play.
